INTERVIEW ON EXPLORING SCHOOL ADJUSTMENT OF GRADE 7 STUDENTS

This study aims to discover and understand the essence of experience of grade 7 students regarding their adjustment to their new school. This is beneficial in a way that a suitable school environment can make the learners’ adjustment easier through the help of teachers and administrators. In line with this, I am inviting you to be a respondent in our study by participating in an interview. The interview will be about your experiences on how you learned to cope with your new environment.

The participants of the study are grade 7 students of Tagaytay City Science National High School (TCSNHS) wherein five students in a selected section are invited coming from different curriculum such as Special Science Class, Basic Education Curriculum, Special Program in the Arts, and Special Program in Journalism.

There is no possible threat and risks in conducting this study. The interview will last only for 15-30 minutes. This will be conducted during your vacant time within the school premises, specifically the Guidance Office. Your responses will not affect your grades.

If the study will be conducted properly, the results of this research can help the students in letting the others know how they learned to adjust in their new school. This can also be helpful to the learners who are having a hard time to adjust and they can gain knowledge on what to do through this study.

After the research has been conducted, the results of the study can be found in the library of TCSNHS. Rest assured that the identity of the person who will be involved in the study will be confidential. Their names will not be published to ensure anonymity. Also, the information gathered will solely be used for the research.

The interview that will be conducted is voluntary and the respondents will not be forced in participating the study. They can refuse in partaking the interview.
