As Academy Physiotherapist, you will work within an innovative Academy at a League Two Football Club. Your professional qualifications must be complimented by an applied knowledge of contemporary practice in physiotherapy and rehabilitation in order to deliver the requirements of the role. Experience of working within elite sports and/or football would be a distinct advantage. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Provide pitch side medical cover and home and away fixtures across the Foundation and Youth Development phase age groups. 2. Record and update medical records using the PMA system 3. Provide and implement injury rehabilitation protocols for injured players 4. Assist in the provision of the medical screening, movement analysis and other fitness testing as per the club’s requirements for EPPP 5. Liaise with the Full Time Academy Medical Staff regarding the management of injured players 6. Engage in Continued Professional Development (CPD) inclusive of periodical trauma and CPD evenings. 7. JOB TITLE: Senior Academy Physiotherapist

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION

1. Minimum BSc Physiotherapy/Sport Therapist/Rehabilitator with CSP/SST/BASRaT accreditation

2. IFAS qualification or equivalent first aid qualification

3. Full UK driving licence

4. Experience of using the PMA System

5. Experience in working under the Elite Player Performance Plan Guidelines (EPPP)

6. Recent and Relevant Experience in a sporting environment

1. Motivated, energised and passionate about working within an Academy setting

3. Committed to supporting player development from a physiotherapy platform

This is a full time and permanent role and is based at the Club’s offices at Meadow Lane, Nottingham. The post holder will be required to perform their duties and/or additional work, or attend training outside of normal office hours and/or in different locations.
