6. This office vide letter dtd. 16/08/2012 requested RO/SRO to submit latest JVS (Air +Water) results. Accordingly SRO Chiplun has submitted the same on 16/08/2012. Whichseems to be within limit.

Considering this, we may grant consent to operate for additional quantity and amend existing consent

for change in product mix by imposing condition that there shall not be any additional load to CETP

and obtaining BG of Rs. 5 lakhs. Agenda no. 9 Name of Industry :- M/s. Shree Renuka Sugars Ltd.,

Shahunagar Shendre, Tal.& Dist - Satara. (Co-Generation Unit on Boot basis in premises of M/s. Ajinkyatara SSK Ltd.)

HOD Remarks:

• Applied for First Consent to Operate for the Co-generation unit, for 19.5 MW. RED/LSI.

• Renuka Sugars Ltd (Co-generation Plant) is located in the premises of M/s. Ajinkyatara SSK Ltd, At- Shahunagar, Shendre, Tal & Dist-satara & will be operated on Boot basis.

• Board has granted C to E for 24 MW Co-generation.

• However Industry has obtained Environmental Clearance for 19.5 MW capacity, therefore industry has applied for 19.5 MW only.

• Industrial effluent generation is to the tune of 45 CMD.

• Industrial effluent will be treated in the Sugar Factory ETP.

• M/s. Ajinkyatara SSK Ltd., has provided consent letter for accepting the Co-generation effluent in the ETP of sugar Factory.

• SRO reported that ETP of exiting Sugar factory has got adequate capacity to take additional load generated from Co-generation unit.

• Land available with the factory reported by SRO is about 6.37 hectors.

• ESP is provided to the Boiler as an APC system.

• Recommended for grant of first operate after installation of separate ETP for Co-generation as per E.C condition for decision in CC meeting.

HOD Remarks:

• Industry has applied for Renewal of Consent for Sugar unit.

• Crushing capacity of sugar unit is 2500 TCD.

• Capacity of unit is: White sugar – 8362 MT/M, Bagasse- 22525 MT/M, Press mud- 3155 MT/M and Molasses- 3107 MT/M.

• Total water consumption is 775 CMD, in which Domestic effluent generated 70 CMD and Industrial effluent generated 270 CMD.

• Effluent treatment of 700 M3/day provided with Screen chamber, O & G traps, Equalization tank cum neutralization tank, Aeration tank, secondary Clarifier.

• Treated effluent is used on land for gardening / irrigation. 45 acres land available for gardening.

• JVS dated 29/12/2011; 12/01/2012 & 02/03/2012 are exceeding prescribed standards with respect to COD and BOD.

• CREP- They have provided strogae tank for treated effluent.

• 2 Nos. of Bagasse fired boiler of 30 TPH each provided with multi cyclone type dust collector to control air pollution.

• Recommended for the Renewal of the consent with BG of Rs. 5.0 Lakhs and Rs. 2.0 Lakhs.

HOD Remarks:

• Industry has applied for Renewal of consent for Distillery Unit. • Industry is manufacturing Rectified Spirit- 9000KL/M, Fusel Oil- 15 KL/M., Ethanol – 846 KL/M &

Impure Spirit – 90 KL/M. Capacity of distillery is 30 KLPD.

• Total water consumption is 350 CMD, Domestic effluent generated 2 CMD and Industrial effluent generated 210 CMD.

• Effluent generated is send to reboiler and Bio-methenation as a primary treatment and Aerobic composting as secondary treatment. Spent lease is treated in sugar ETP.

• CREP- Industry has provided 5 acres of RCC compost yard with RCC leachate collection tank and recycling facility.

• SRO, Solapur has recommended consent for renewal subject to compliance i.e. installation of ESP/wet scrubber to sugar boilers.

• Industry is manufacturing: Solvent extraction Soybean oil- 3600 Ton/M, Refined Oil – 2500 Ton/M, Soap Stock/Acid Oil- 125 Ton/M and De-oiled Cake – 16000 Ton/M.

• Total water consumption is 740 CMD in which Domestic effluent generation is 10 CMD and Industrial effluent is 140 CMD.

• Industry has provided Effluent Treatment Plant with Primary and Secondary treatment facility

• Treated effluent is used on land for gardening. 12.25 acres land available.
