ShapesWeathermaster® understands that not all windows are the same size or shape. That’s why we have a range of products, including Weathermaster® Masterwoods Venetians and Whisper® Shades which can be manufactured as special shapes. Round, triangular or oval Weathermaster® has the solution.

Comfort RatingThe comfort rating is designed to assist you in choosing the right window covering for each situation. Hunter Douglas Limited has developed the comfort rating with assistance from Canesis Pty Ltd an independent Australian Fibre and Textile Research and Development Company.

Heat Protection refers to the ability of material to keep heat away.

Insulation A high insulation rating is recommended where insulation is important for the comfort of the occupants and to reduce heating or cooling costs.

Shade Factor is defined as the level of shade that the blind provides in blocking out the direct sunlight.

Glare Reduction is defined as the reduction in the level of glare to provide optimum eye comfort.

UV Protection – UV Protection is defined as the level of UV light that is blocked out by the material.

Sunscreens Weathermaster® internal sunscreens allow control of heat, light and UV rays whilst maintaining your view. With a range of revolutionary sunscreen fabric available internal sunscreens are perfect for any room heavily exposed to the sun, to reduce the glare and heat coming through the window. Sunscreens are available as roller blinds, roman shades, and panel glides.

These modern sunscreen fabrics feature an ‘openness factor’ allowing the flow of light and ventilation while reducing the impact of heat, glare and UV rays by up to 95%. This ‘openness factor’ allows you to enjoy your views even when the sunscreen is fully lowered and the fabric acts as a screen to provide daytime privacy.

Combining a simplicity of design with a minimalistic, crisp, uncluttered look Weathermaster® sunscreens are available in a wide range of colours from versatile neutrals to fashionable tones. Whether your choice is a rollershade, roman blind or panel glide sunscreen the operation is precise and effortless including the fully automated systems with remote control for rollershade and roman options.

Solar protection

60mm heavy duty hardware systemThe growing requirement for larger, heavier shades has led to the release of a new Rollershade hardware programme. This innovative system has been engineered to meet both the functional and visual demands of modern architecture. The new heavy duty system can be operated using either a spring assisted chain mechanism or automated with a wall switch or remote control.

Rollershades Rollershades by Weathermaster® offer the ultimate in traditional value, style and hard-wearing durability. Using premium grade components, Weathermaster® rollershades are made from a superb range of quality fabrics, including plains, jacquards, blockouts and sunscreens.

Whichever fabric you choose the exclusive use of ultrasonic cutting technology will ensure fabric edges are sealed to enhance the performance and longevity of your rollershades. Operation of your rollershade is so easy. Simply raise or lower the rollershade by using the super-smooth chain control complete with your choice of hard-wearing PVC, aluminium or stainless steel chain.

For expansive rollershades that can measure over two metres in width there is the option of the spring assisted chain control to aid operation or you can enjoy the luxury and convenience of a fully automated operating system with remote control.

Weathermaster® rollershades feature round or elliptical bottom rail shapes with multiple colour options, to ensure that designer look. The childsafe cord tensioner option adds the finishing touch to quality rollershades by Weathermaster®. For enhanced light control the twin roller system allows for two blinds (eg blockout and sunscreen) to be installed in the one window.

Then there is the in-line joiner system allowing up to three rollershades to be operated from the one control, making it the perfect solution for bi-folding and ranch slider doors.

Roman BlindsWeathermaster® Roman blinds are available in a wide range of fabrics including light filtering and blockout in a vast array of sensational colours from versatile neutrals to vibrant tones. Your Weathermaster® Roman blinds will look stunning while providing excellent control of light heat and privacy. The new generation sunscreen fabrics feature an ‘openness factor’ to allow the flow of light and ventilation even when the blind is fully lowered, thereby providing daytime privacy and views while reducing the impact of UV rays by up to 95%.

Weathermaster® Roman blinds offer a sleek, elegant appearance, with your choice of cord lock or chain control which uses a continuous chain drive operation for ease of raising and lowering the blind. Automation with remote control provides the simplicity of quick and easy operation and is the perfect solution for large blinds.

With Multiple stacking options including one way draw to the left or right, two way draw or centre stacking Verticals Blinds offer a narrower stack back.

Vertical Blinds provide excellent control of light, heat and privacy. Choose from a wide range of fabrics in an array of colours and textures from light filtering through to blockouts in your choice of 89mm or 100mm blade widths. Many of these fabrics have been treated to resist staining, mould and mildew. With Weathermaster® you have the option of chained or chainless bottom weights for your vertical blind blades.

Whisper® ShadesUnique Weathermaster® Whisper® shades feature a honeycomb cellular structure, a clever design ensuring that Whisper® shades offer superior insulation performance.

The secret is so simple. Air is trapped in each of the honeycomb cells, providing superb insulation to keep your home warmer in winter and cooler in summer. There are even aluminium lined Whisper® (Nightfall and Midnight) shades for light blockout combined with improved insulation.

Unique Weathermaster® Whisper® shades combine the luxury of a soft fabric with remarkable structural strength. Made from soft spun bonded polyester, Whisper® shades are extremely durable, maintaining their shape and colour for years.

Whisper® shades have no unsightly seams which makes them the ideal window covering for large windows. Other options with Whisper® shades include arched, circular, angled windows and skylights. The ‘top down / bottom up’ option makes Whisper® shades the perfect choice where privacy and ventilation are important.

Pleated BlindsThe Weathermaster® range of pleated blinds provide true style and versatility. Pleated blinds not only provide privacy, sun and light control, they look stunning in any setting from traditional through to easy living and ultra modern.

Choose from a vast array of fade-resistant fabric options. Each fabric has a metallised backing to insulate your window against the heat of the summer sun, yet retaining warmth during the cold winter months.

All Weathermaster® pleated blinds are heat set to retain a crisp, neat appearance and when fully raised form a tightly packed narrow stack.

The slim, durable colour co-ordinated head and bottom rails have been designed to complement your decor and the advanced cord lock system allows you to raise the blind to any position.

Pleated blinds can be used for a wide variety of window shapes and sizes including skylights, arched and triangular.

Countrywoods® Timber venetians can be raised, lowered, opened and closed just like regular venetians to give you light, heat and privacy control. The real beauty of timber is that its natural wood tones are the perfect complement to virtually any decor scheme. Because timber slats are heavier than aluminium venetian slats, Countrywoods® Timber blinds feature specially designed heavy-duty components to provide smooth and easy operation of the blind. For the ultimate in luxury and convenience you have the option of a fully automated operating system with remote control.

With Countrywoods® Timber Venetians you have the option of 46mm or 60mm timber slats, each with durable string tapes, providing timber venetians up to a maximum width of 2700mm and a range of specialty applications including sloped top or bottom and fixed slat shapes.

Also available from Weathermaster® is a range of timber blinds manufactured from American Basswood which can be custom painted to the colour of your choice. With Weathermaster® American Basswood blinds you have the option of 25mm or 50mm Basswood slats.

Weathermaster® Timber Venetians are finished with ‘e-cote UV’ a revolutionary acrylic lacquer coating that offers the highest UV resistant properties available. ‘e-cote UV’ paint is cured in UV ovens to produce a hard, durable and extremely smooth finish; fading is inhibited by using automotive pigments in the paint. ‘e-cote UV’ coated products are suitable for use in damp areas but are not recommended for continual immersion in water.

Thermastop® SlatThe Thermastop® Slats conduct less heat than standard slats, improving insulation. Thermastop® slats have a special coating on the concave side of the slat, making Thermastop® slats a very good reflector. In summer this helps reflect solar energy back to the outside lowering inside temperatures and reducing the need for cooling. In winter, fully closed Thermastop® coated venetians are very effective in keeping the heat indoors.
