The Role

A little taste of the roleWe build on top of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager, marrying technologies like Visual Studio, ASP.NET and SQL with cutting-edge technologies from the modern, web world.

Our clients are Microsoft-focused Enterprise organisations and so the technologies that we interact with are the likes of System Center, VMware, Hyper-V, Citrix, SQL, Exchange, IIS, AD and Azure.

We provide those clients with outstanding pre and post-sales assistance and soneed to be confident and comfortable with a wide range of enterprise IT technologies.

Delivering valueWe make great software that our clients love, but a key part of the process is explaining and demonstrating that value to them in the first place.

You’ll need to become an expert in Squared Up and supporting technologies and be able to clearly articulate and demonstrate what the product does, the value it brings and how to get the most from it.

We very rarely visit clients on-site, so pre-sales sessions are almost always delivered via GoToMeeting or other remote session, it’s not a role that requires a lot of time on the road.

Communication

As well as strong technical knowledge and aptitude, you’ll be expected to have good communication skills, both written and verbal.

We aim to be as low-touch as possible so, as well as speaking to clients, we invest lots of time and effort in producing great supporting collateral like technical blogs and video walkthroughs.

There’s lots we can learn from our clients too, so the role isn’t just about telling, it’s about listening and bringing relevant feedback into the organisation, whether that’s to the sales, marketing, support, test or product development teams.

• You’re experienced at and enjoy creating technical tutorials (videos and blogs).
