COMPANY DRIVERS AND OWNER-OPERATORS RESPONSIBILITIES AND ESSENTIAL DUTIES • Perform all duties in accordance with our policies and procedures, and comply with all federal, state and local regulations for the secure and safe operation of a commercial motor vehicle. • Understand and carry out instructions given orally and in writing, including those on manifests, bills of lading and other shipping documents to determine the location and time of delivery. • Safely operate tractor and trailer equipment in many different configurations as assigned, over long distances, either directly or by way of intermediate points. • Properly secure cargo and tarps, in accordance with Sycamore, FMSCA and customer standards • Ensure that the required shipping documentation accompanies all deliveries. • Inspect tractor and trailer for defects during and after trips. • Maintain a driver’s log in accordance with in-house and FMCSA requirements. • Install and remove tire chains and other equipment as needed. • Report highway safety hazards observed. • Always keep tractor and trailer in clean condition. SYCAMORE IS A SUBSIDIARY OF GROUPE ROBERT SYCAMORETRKG.COM SYCAMORE IS LOOKING FOR COMPANY DRIVERS AND OWNER-OPERATORS WITH THE FOLLOWING COMPETENCIES • Must be at least 24 years of age and possess a valid Class A commercial driver’s license. • Must have a minimum of three years’ recent driving experience as an over-the-road driver, operating similar equipment over similar terrains and road conditions for long distances in various traffic and weather conditions. • Must have knowledge of and comply with all FMCSA rules and regulations governing safe driving, hours of service and equipment inspection and maintenance. • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and the general public. • Must be able to operate any type and configuration of equipment assigned, including various types and combinations of owned, leased or rented single-or tandem-axle tractors or straight trucks of either conventional or cab-over design or yard tractors by various manufacturers and as equipped. • Must be capable of working independently without constant supervision. • Must have a record of safe and competent driving (personal and commercial) as demonstrated on state motor vehicle records. Only one moving violations in the last year and a maximum of two in the last three years. • Must interact professionally at all times with customers, co-workers, managers, administrators, government officials and members of the general public.
