The Summit: For Church Leaders will offer something new in 2014 in addition to the training sessions that have previously been available in the ministry areas of Sunday School, Disciple-ship, Evangelism, Deacon Ministry, Men’s Minis-try, Student Ministry, R.A.’s, Music Ministry, Stewardship, Women’s Ministry and other areas of ministry! Some sessions will be for the new worker and others for the more experienced leader. This training is designed to help mobilize leaders and will benefit churches large and small, city and rural. We will leave mid-morning Friday, August 1 from the church parking lot. Meals and room fees will be paid by the church. If you are interested in attending this conference, please let us know by completing the registration form below. Any questions you can contact the church office or go online shocco.org.

Take me out to the ballgame! Join us June 20 as we travel to Montgomery where the Biscuits play the Mobile Bay Bears. This will be a great opportunity to relax and fellowship. The baseball game will start at

7:05pm. We will leave from Cloverdale at 2pm. Please bring a lawnchair or blanket for each person in your party to sit on. Dinner will be at Dreamland BBQ and then a pre-game concert at the stadium. Following the concert a

fireworks show. Tickets are $8 each for ages 3+. Tickets must be paid for in advance. Registration deadline is June 8th. Please Scarlyte Collette if you

would like to purchase tickets or need more information.

Discipleship Training Summer Break Beginning this Sunday, there will be no Discipleship Training*. These classes will resume in the fall. *The Baptist Adults will continue meeting through the summer.

Lead A Child to Christ - June 1st @ 5pm Sunday School, VBS Leaders, Deacons, parents and grandparents are encouraged to attend this informative session to be held in Kidzone. This time will feature responses to assist a child with their salvation questions and reactions. Children’s Director: Scarlyte Collette

Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser - June 1st @ 7pm Hope Nolen will be travelling to Nepal and India on a summer mission trip. Show your support by joining us for a spaghetti meal. Plates are $5 each and money will be collected at the door.

Men & Boys Choir Rehearsal - June 4th @ 6pm - Choir Room If you are interested in or already a part of the men and boys choir scheduled to perform on Father’s Day there will be a rehearsal Wednesday night in the choir room. Rehearsal begins at 6pm. Music Director: Steve Skidmore

Stewardship Meeting - June 1st - 5pm Tonight’s meeting will be held at 5pm in room 9 of the fellowship hall.

Deacon’s Meeting - June 8th @ 3pm The deacons will be meeting next Sunday at 3pm in room 5 of the fellowship hall.

Father’s Day! Donuts with Dad - June 15th @ 9:30am Dad’s and kids will be served donuts in Kidzone on Father’s Day, June 15 at 9:30am. All dads are encouraged to attend with their kids! Children’s Director: Scarlyte Collette

VBS Follow-up Meeting - June 18th @ 6pm We will be meeting to begin vacation bible school follow-up on June 18th at 6pm in the fellowship hall. Please be praying about what you can do in continuing the community outreach after VBS. Children’s Director: Scarlyte Collette

Don Peters’ band will be the entertainment in the fellowship

hall as we enjoy hot dogs with all the fixin’s! Bring your favorite

dessert and a friend. It’s sure to be a great time! Please register on the connect card and place in

My name is Christi Wood. I am 32 years old and I call Ozark my hometown. I currently live in Dothan with my husband (we’ve been married 11 years) and two children. I have a daughter that is 3 and my son is 22 months. We attend New Teamon Baptist Church in Slocomb, AL. I am excited to be your church secretary and look forward to working with you all.

Please be aware that there will not be a Wednesday night prayer meeting 6/11 due to vacation bible school. In addition, the business meeting will be moved to

the next week 6/18 at 6pm.

July 6th @ 6pm Beginning June 8th tickets will

be available in the welcome center for the upcoming

backyard bbq. The church will be providing the meat and we

will be registering for side dishes and desserts.
