New EPA standards may potentially take effect, and the threshold may be lowered because scientific research has shown the old standard may not protect public health enough to ensure the best quality of life possible.

Reduced the amount of time gas is burning in the flare by 40% versus last year.
Will next address water concerns by removing selenium from our discharge water by the end of 2016.
A new $30-million piece of equipment, a wet scrubber, will be a welcome addition to the Cheyenne skyline. The scrubber will remove contaminants and particulate emissions from the air using a process of water, filters, and separators. An emissions monitor will be installed to continuously ensure the scrubber is working properly.
