Wearable Electronics
How it WorksLED and Battery Check
An electric circuit works in a connected loop where charge flows from one terminal to another.
A circuit needs 3 things:
● Voltage
● Load
● Conductive Path
What’s in a Circuit? https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/what-is-a-circuit
Do I need to understand Ohm’s Law?
No - but you should understand that both a battery and LED have a voltage that must be complementary. Or that you can use resistors to reduce current.
Don’t connect a single 2.4V LED directly to a 9V battery - or do it and see what happens.
Multimeters are a great way to test voltage, current and resistance.

You can make a circuit in pretty much anything!Wearables made in Open Creation Program.
1. 2 hour long program!
2. Explain how to sew the circuit…
3. ...but be prepared to help each patron individually
4. You might have to show some sewing basics
5. Detailed instructions to follow as they begin their project
6. Have an extra staff member if possibly...one who can sew!
