I came to Tutor.com because it offered me an opportunityto help students while giving me a flexible schedule tospend time with my family. I've stayed for some of thesame reasons, but I also really love the challenge. I neverknow what type of problem or question I may get in mynext session. I've tutored problems from introductoryalgebra to helping students understand topics they areresearching for advanced physics projects in the sameday. My favorite part of tutoring is when the light comes onfor a student and they truly understand a new concept!

A Look BackALA Annual Conference 2016

The Tutor.com team had a great time at the American Library Association's annual conference in Orlando, Florida lastmonth. We spent the week celebrating the Super Librarian – which of course all of our librarypartners are, especially when they remind their student patrons of their Super Poweredresource, Tutor.com!

Tutor.com booth visitors had the chance to vote on the entries fromour Teen Poster Design contest (results to be announced inSeptember), participate in our raffle, or take advantage of a photo opwith Zack  our sullen teen desperately in need of homework help!  We gave out some great prizes to 15 lucky winners!  No StarchPress publishing has fantastic The Manga Guide To… books thatcenter around STEM topics and are illustrated in the popular mangastyle.

We we're glad to meet with many of you at the conference, but we also met with a lot of librariesthat do not currently offer Tutor.com. Remember, wordof mouth and personal referrals are thebest way to spread the word about Tutor.com to patrons – AND your librarian friends. If you arepleased with your Tutor.com service, please be sure to tell other libraries about us.
