Choices and Rates
\/Vhether you choose to stay with Delmarva Power as your electricity supplier, or choose another supplier, we will continue to provide reliable energy delivery and service to you, our valued customer.
The Choice Is Yours The restructuring of the electric utility industry allows you to select the electricity supplier that best fits your needs. If you don't choose a supplier, Delmarva Power buys electricity for you and charges you according to rates approved by your state Public Service Commission. This is called "Standard Offer Service" (SOS), and appears under "Supply Charges" in the Electric Charges portion of your bill.
Customer bills are broken down to indicate charges for supply , the actual electricity, and delivery , the process of getting that electricity to end users. Delmarva Power continues to deliver the electricity to all customers, no matter who they choose as their supplier.

Role of the Commission
http://depsc.delaware.gov/electric.shtml
In 1999, the General Assembly passed legislation restructuring the electric industry in Delaware. Prior to restructuring, the generation, transmission,
and distribution of electric power by investor-owned utilities was fully regulated by the PSC. With restructuring , the generation of electric power
became deregulated, leaving only distribution services under the regulatory control of the PSC. The pricing of electric transmission is regulated by the
Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) (http://www.ferc.gov)

Consumer Information
Electric Choice - Customers of the Delaware Electric Cooperative and Delmarva Power may now have a choice in which company will provide their
electric energy supply (distributio"n of electric will still remain with the respective utility). The List of Certified Electric Suppliers (pdfs/electric
/choicereports/elec_supplierinfo_ updated_3_ 18_2016.pdf) provides the telephone numbers and websites of electric suppliers that may be offering
services to residential, commercial or industrial customers. This list is updated as often as information becomes available and is a list of all
certified companies, the Commission would urge customers to contact all potential suppliers to determine if a company is currently
offering service. Before switching , we encourage you to look at this list of questions to ask potential electric suppliers (pdfs/electric

Corvette City is a Corvette dealership that offers full-service repairs, restoration, and has the region's largest for-sale parts selection. Unfortunately, the existing lighting system was not doing the corvettes' superb looks justice and was too dim for mechanics to work in without using flashlights. When Corvette City saw the lighting retrofit work that we performed for a nearby business, they contaded us to help them find the best lighting for their showroom, offices, mechanic shops, and storage facilities.
The Solut1011
Corvette City had a variety of different lighting needs for its different spaces and worked with a our certified engineer to analyze the facility. Through the use of photometric analysis software and years of experience, we identified products that would deliver the desired aesthetic for each unique space.
The old 65-watt BR30 flood lamps in the main showroom were not adequately showcasing the vehides on display. We replaced these with 11-watt BR30 LED 3,000K •cool• color lamps with a 25,000 hour life to best enhance the beautiful cars.
The showroom, office, and bathrooms' existing T12 fluorescent 4ft troffer fixtures were not only not bright enough, but were wasting 6, 144 kWh a year! Verde retrofitted these fixtures with energy efficient TS fluorescent 4ft lamps, normal factor electronic ballasts, and white aluminum reflector kits. This ultimately reduced wattage from 144-watts per fixture to 58-watts per fixture!
The main shop, parts and old car storage, compressor room, and paint room needed optimum lighting for precision, high-quality work. The existing T12 fluorescent B' 2-lamp strip fixtures were retrofitted with 4-lamp B' retrofit strip kits with TB fluorescent high lumen lamps, low factor TB electronic ballasts, and white aluminums ballast covers. This simple retrofit saved Corvette City 25% in electricity a year
'' The new ligb(ing makes the cars look better. It's brighter, easier to work in, and makes the colors on the corvettes really stand out! Also, our mechanics can do more work
without the use of flashlights. '' Cindy, Vice President
