Topography, Natural Resources Management, Emergency Response and many
more to help professionals of multiple domains with mapping as an easy day-to-
day task.
Pix4Dmapper converts aerial and oblique images taken by the BOT into geo-
referenced 2D orthomosaics and 3D surface models and point clouds. With its
advanced automatic aerial triangulation based purely on image content
and unique optimisation techniques. Pix4Dmapper software offers up to
centimeter-grade 3D precision, features a fully automatic workflow and can
be used by anyone as it is intuitive and easy to use.
You can assess, edit and improve projects directly in the software using the
rayCloud and Mosaic Editor and seamlessly import results into any professional
GIS, CAD and traditional photogrammetry software package.

the fully automated workflow and visualise & edit results.
PIX4D SOFTWARE
Aeronavics offers a BOT-Pix4Dmapper package from 19,395.00 NZD. This
solution can be used in Mining, Topography, Agriculture, Natural Resource
Management, Construction and Emergency Response industries. It will allow
you to:
• Annotate and measure polylines (breaklines), surfaces and volumes
(stockpiles) with the highest precision achievable
• Generate your orthomosaics, DSMs and point clouds from aerial and oblique
imagery using any camera and lens, including multi-band images. Keep full
control over your projects at all times by assessing and editing all tie points
(GCPs, Check points, etc.).
• Use the fully automatic workflow and let the software handle all calibration
and processing to achieve survey grade accurate outputs. Increase efficiency
and save on extra field trips with Rapid Check mode for instant quality
assessment directly on site.
• Assess and edit your projects using the rayCloud and Mosaic Editor.
Improve the accuracy of your projects and annotate objects directly in the
software, then seamlessly import your results and vector objects into your
industry specific workflow and any GIS, CAD and traditional photogrammetry
software package.

Application
This technology makes the management of extraction activities and
environmental protection issues easy-to-handle, available on demand, and
cost-effective, without exposing workers to dangerous conditions. Compared
to traditional surveying technology that is labour, skill and cost-intensive, using
UAVs to create airborne imagery that produces orthomosaics, Digital Surface
Maps (DSMs) and point clouds of open-pit mines, quarries and pits, and
calculate volumes of extracted materials and stockpiles. This also increases
safety, efficiency and accuracy, while keeping cost and labour to a minimum.
This new and effective process of generating up-to-date information allows for
continuous monitoring and well-structured decision making for any area of
mining sites. Results obtained with Pix4D software are traceable over time in
order to comply with environmental standards.
Application
Your surveying skills will help you to produce results with centimeter-grade
accuracy from lightweight compact cameras to large-format photogrammetric
sensors - even if you have no photogrammetric knowledge. This technology will
help you assess the quality of your acquired data within minutes while still in the
field. The automatic workflow will allow you to create 2D topographic maps and
orthomosaics, 3D raster DSMs and point clouds that you can deliver to your
clients in record-time. Output results seamlessly integrate with your existing
CAD, GIS and traditional photogrammetry software.
Increase your productivity, cut on delivery-time to clients and use the BOT and
Pix4Dmapper for countless topographic applications in mining, agriculture, con-
struction, land planning and many more.
MINING TOPOGRAPHY CONSTRUCTION
Application
Get ready for 4D construction site monitoring on a weekly or even daily basis!
Create survey-grade orthomosaics, DSMs and dense 3D point clouds almost
instantly using our automatic workflow, repeat the process in fixed time intervals
and analyze results over time to monitor contractors and construction
advancements. Take advantage of all software features: set control points to
achieve the highest accuracy and use the integrated tools to view assess and
interpret your models. Go one step further: measure points, lines, surfaces and
volumes directly in the software and annotate vector objects to seamlessly import
them into your existing CAD or GIS software package.
Our solution will help you plan and document your construction and building
sites over time and enhance security on site.
Precision Agriculture (PA) or Site Specific Crop Management (SSCM)
technologies observe, measure and respond to the variability in pasture and
crops across the farming landscape. Responding to this variation by applying
the right amount of inputs in the right place at the right time significantly lowers
the cost of inputs, while boosting yield. This optimization benefits pasture, crops,
soils, live-stock and yield, hence the entire farming system is improved.
Pix4Dmapper Create meaningful maps from any multi-spectral sensor and
customise your NDVI and any vegetation index map directly in the software with
the new Index Calculator. Set and edit map resolution, choose from predefined
formulas or create your own formulas and customise your index maps by editing
color classes and gradients.
For these reasons the technologies of Precision Agriculture are closely associated
with future farmings economics and profitability, and with Sustainable Farming’s
goals of supplying food within the ecological, economic and social limits required
to sustain production in the long term.
BOT-Pix4Dmapper
The BOT-Pix4D uses cameras to capture data and spectral images, this
information is transformed into vegetation indexes which assess the health of
pasture and can be used in various farm management software or Geographic
Information Systems (GIS).
Precise Data
Precision Agriculture uses GPS to precisely locate information on the
property such as:
• Pasture growth
• Nitrogen, Phosphorus, Potassium and other mineral levels
• pH
• Dry-matter or organic matter content
• Humidity
• Plant chlorophyll levels
• Plant water status
• Soil types
• Electric fences
• Water piping
Precise Inputs
With this information, GPS connected Variable Rate Technology (VRT)
equipment applies fertilizer, seed and other inputs at the rates that each area
needs, and can apply lower rates when close to water-ways or other fragile
environments to reduce impacts, and profit through minimizing waste.
Precise Profits
Precision Agriculture calls for continuous land management at a competitive
cost, while acting effectively within environmental constraints, meeting water
and effluent compliance requirements, and growing profit.
Up-to date aerial imagery acquired in a user-friendly and rapid way with the
BOT-Pix4Dmapper and translated into highly accurate 3D Digital Surface
Maps is a cost-effective new way to continuously optimize precision farming
techniques.
AGRICULTURE
Application
As a Geographic Information System (GIS) professional, you can now focus
more time on the analysis of environmental data. Producing orthomosaics and
DSMs of natural areas, parks, reserves and nature conservation areas has
become easily available with the Pix4D automatic workflow. It has also become
more affordable as this technology will produce survey-grade results from any
imagery and camera. You can assess and edit your projects directly in the
software.
Verifying the enforcement of environmental regulations, assessing the vigor of
vegetation through vegetation indexes, creating extensive inventories of natural
resources are only a few examples of how this technology can serve your
business.
Application
Effective emergency response needs fast and correct on-site production of
cartography. Our solution provides the fully automatic workflow that will produce
fast results all the while limit operator errors to the very minimum. Unlike satellite
imagery, orthomosaics and digital surface models produced by our solution can
be created immediately after your flight, even with cloudy skies, and will provide
you with the accuracy you need for successful operations. Use this technology
not only for operations after events but also to monitor sensitive sites throughout
the year for prevention purposes.
NATURAL RESOURCES MANAGEMENT EMERGENCY RESPONCE
Application
How to map the inside and outside of a whole castle efficiently in full 3D? The
Chillon project demonstrates the accuracy, feasibility and efficiency of image
based 3D modelling for very complex architectural objects.
The final model integrates the outside structure of the castle as well as all inside
courtyards and 18 inside rooms. The accuracy of the model varies between 5
mm and 20 cm and has been achieved through geo-referencing with 9 GCPs.
In total, 19 datasets were processed individually and then merged into larger
projects.
