Motivated and desperate sellers both make up a section of home owners that are looking to get theirproperties of f their hands, and yet there are also some key dif f erences between the two that make motivatedsellers so appealing and desperate sellers a nuisance.
Motivated Sellers Benef it Both Parties
Certain motivated sellers are above the age of 65, and this means that they of ten want to move to a smallerproperty without having to go through the time consuming, and of ten f rustrating, process of preparing theirhomes f or a sale. Investors can of ten come to the rescue in these instances and purchase the home f or adiscounted price; they will take care of the f iner details while the previous owners can move with a minimalamount of ef f ort.
Probates are another reason where motivated sellers might require the assistance of investors; the homesusually hold up the f inalizing of an estate until they are sold, and so f amily members or even governmentalagencies cannot move f orward until this is taken care of . Once again, investors can swoop in to help bypurchasing the property quickly.
Desperate Sellers Can Pose a Danger
There are many benef its to dealing with motivated sellers, but desperate sellers could end up trying anything tosell their homes so that they can avoid f inancial losses, or bef ore f iner “cracks” in the f oundation becomemore noticeable, f or instance, which is why so many people benef it f rom the f ormer and try to avoid the latterat all costs.
