Water and Energy savingWasted water (leading to excessive water bills) through carelessness, vandalism or intensive use is common with traditional tapware, since it does not fit requirements of public places. PRESTO® self-closing taps avoid wasting water especially in public areas due to the “S” Anti-blocking mechanism which prevents continuous flowing in case the push button is deliberately held down.The flow rate is preset during the manufacturing process and isth us an ideal compromise between saving water and comfort. The contractors and the managers of the establishment can adjust the flow rate ro the duration according to their specific needs.

Comfort and Hygiene The PRESTO® range offers ergonomic models specially adapted for children, the disabled or the elderly. The PRESTO® time delayed taps close automatically and guarantee perfect hygiene.

Quality of antivandalism and strengthThe taps designed for public areas provide high duration and anti-vandalism qualities: Integrated flow straighteners, non-rotating pushbuttons and the interior mechanisms are only accessible for service. Depending on the application and the level of vandalism, it is possible to install wall-mounted, concealed or cross-partition taps. The “S” Anti-blocking system prevents continuous flowing in case the push button is deliberately held down.

The water flow is activated without any contact with the tap (completely hygienic) as soon as the hands are detected and then stops automatically when they are removed. A commitment to saving water, even in environments with high frequency use of toilet facilities.

Saving water The actual water savings does not depend exclusively on the type of timed or electronic valves but also on the type of use. For each application type an appropriated type of valve is available.The installation of a Presto® tap allows between 60 to 90% water savings.

The following table shows the water consumption of a hand washing with a traditional tap or a Presto® sensor tap.

With a traditional tap water is running constantly during the washing and uses 12 l/minso the water consumption would be 7 l per washing.

With a traditional tap with internal flow regulator water is running without interruptionand uses 6 l/min so the water consumption would be 3.5 l per washing.

With a Presto® sensor tap the water consumption is 0.75 l for each washing.Water only flows when hands are detected by the infrared cell.
