For 30 years nal von minden has successfully been serving customers and has become a trusted expert for the production and distribution of in-vitro diagnostic products and point of care testing.

The company has two roots: one, von minden was founded by Wolfgang von Minden in Moers, Germany in 1982, selling diagnostic reagents to clinical laboratories and being the first to CE mark drug abuse rapid tests in Germany in 1999. The second is nal24, a company providing Europe wide point of care tests, which was founded in 2005 by two successful entrepreneurs in the biotech industry, Roland Meißner and Thomas Zander. In 2008 both companies merged, which led to the formation of nal von minden. The company has continuously grown and currently consists of 150 skilled employees. Offices, manufacturing and storage space now exceed 3000 square meters. nal von minden is privately owned by the three CEOs Sandra von Minden, Roland Meißner and Thomas Zander.

Innovation, quality and support are our guidelines for success. Thus, we still strive to improve all areas of service in relation to our customers’, suppliers’, distributors’ and employees’ needs.

Since 2003, our quality management system has been certified according to ISO 9001 / ISO 13485. Our company regularly undergoes audits for the recertification by TÜV Rheinland.

Before a product is allowed to enter sales, each batch has to pass a strict quality control. Only if all our high quality standards are met, the product is released for sale. Thus, CE conformed quality management is a common standard for all nal von minden products.

Quality is our highest priorityAdditionally, we participate in a broad range of inter- national proficiency studies, such as DGKL, RIQAS, Instand, CSCQ, ProBioQual, etc. in order to get independent and certified proof for the quality of our tests.

Point of care drug testing is one of our main focuses. Our immunological lateral flow rapid tests deliver a reliable result pertaining to the presence of drugs in patient samples within 5 minutes, regardless of testing for one or even 12 drugs simultaneously. With nearly 500 test combi-nations existing out of 27 available parameters almost every customer need can be satisfied. If a particular test combination is currently not available, we will manufac-ture your personal test combination upon request; also with altered cut-off levels, if required. All our tests have a shelf life of 12-18 months and can be stored at room temperature.

Various test formats are available: dip tests, test cassettes with mini-pipette, economical no-step-urine cup, and highly sophisticated urine cup II with starter key and sepa-rated specimen container.

The possible integration of alcohol urine detection or adulteration markers into multi-drug tests are two of many features from our available selection. In addition, we offer adaptation of test-systems to various sample matrices like urine, whole blood, serum, plasma or saliva.

To facilitate easy and reliable documentation and objective read-outs of the drug-screen tests, the brand new RSS2 Reader is the perfect choice for you: easy handling, storage of results, integrated patient database, connectivity to laboratory or patient information software. LUCIO® Laboratory DiagnosticsBesides rapid tests, nal von minden offers you a broad range of immunological laboratory assays, separated into two areas of application: drugs and medical indications.

In the area of drugs you can choose between two systems: either a heterogeneous ELISA 96-well-plate format or a homogeneous EIA format, which comprises liquid reagents for the analysis with a clinical chemistry analyzer.

Depending on your desired screening cut-off, type of sample material (e.g. urine, saliva), target analyte and labo-ratory requirements, we have the right products for you.

We offer you more than 700 different medical ELISAs. Infectious diseases, autoimmune diseases, endocrinology, immunology and virology/serology are a few examples of indication areas.

Laboratory ServicesIn cooperation with selected partner laboratories we can offer you quantified analyses of the use of drugs or alcohol, as well as the identification of substances. With a urine sample, the consumption of alcohol over the last week can be measured reliably. Furthermore, with a 12 cm long strand of hair, the consumption behaviour of a sam-ple donor can be traced back for up to a year.

Accreditation to ISO 17025, and compliance with the quality standards of the GTFCh (Society for Toxicological

and Forensic Chemistry) make these laboratories profes-sional and reliable partners. We can therefore guarantee the best service and smooth processing of your orders.

We make it easy for you – you will get all the necessary material in a sample kit. You only have to send the sample to the laboratory in the enclosed envelope and wait for the result. After approximately 10 working days, we will send you the result by mail – and upon request also by fax in advance.

The use of drugs and medication can be detected by a hair analysis over a much longer period than with a saliva or urine sample. The exact time frame is dependent on the length of hair. By using a 12 cm long hair sample, with an average hair growth rate of 1 cm per month, the consump-tion behaviour of an entire year can be examined.

Saliva analysis is becoming increasingly popular. This is due to the simple, non-invasive and easy to monitor sample procedure. Fields of application are various and include occupational medicine, police testing on the street, drug testing in schools and in insurance cases.

They also offer a cost-effective way to test substances for which no rapid drug tests are available yet, such as LSD, Tilidine and GHB.
