She joined PEA as an employee in 2016 to execute the Philadelphia Energy Campaign, a billion dollar, 10 year initiative to advance energy efficiency and clean energy across Philadelphia, while creating over 10,000 jobs. Emily has been a PEA board member since 2011, as the City Council appointee. She earned her MBA from Wharton in environmental and risk management and has a BA from the University of Pennsylvania. She has been a LEED accredited professional and sits on the alumni advisory board of Penn?s initiative for environmental leadership. Stephen Zook, Procurement Manager & Strategy Analyst: Philadelphia School District Stephen Zook is the Procurement Manager and Strategy Analyst for the School District of Philadelphia. He oversees public solicitations and helps design strategy and policy for purchasing and contracting at the School District of Philadelphia. His work includes procurement administration, de-regulated energy commodity purchasing strategies, business writing, RFP/proposal evaluation, price and service negotiations and cooperative purchasing analysis. Stephen has a bachelor?s degree in Journalism from Temple University and was the editor in chief of the Temple News. Certified Passive House Designer/Consultant (CPHD/C) Training:

NAPHN?s Certified Passive House Designer/Consultant course is the premier training program for Passive House building professionals. Supported by a 25+ year history of global technical leadership by the Passive House Institute, and over 7 years of successful American instruction, from Maine to California, by the Passive House Academy ? this course is specifically designed to teach the international Passive House Standard to American professionals making Passive House buildings in the U.S. construction industry.

With 5 days of in-class instruction, and additional e-learning modules that can be completed at one?s own pace, participants will get a thorough grounding in the critical aspects of Passive House design and construction. Participants will be able to apply the lessons learned directly to their real-world work experience, and join a team in making Passive House buildings. On successfully passing the exam, participants will receive a five year registration as an internationally accredited Certified Passive House Designer or Consultant.

This course is for all building professionals: architects, MEP and structural engineers, builders and construction managers working in the design and construction of new build and retrofit Passive House buildings.

This course is provided in collaboration with the Passive House Academy(PHA), the Passive House Institute (PHI), and Green Building United and is accredited by the AIA for 35 LUs.
