We are nearing the end of this term’s Enquiry Question. The

children have been curious learners and really explored this tricky

question through their History, Geography or Science.

Have you asked them what they think?

Who Really Holds The Power? British Value Link: Democracy

Have a look on the website to see some of the exciting things they have been doing. Thank you for all

the wonderful creative homeworks that have been coming in to school. An amazing array has been seen

from erupting lava cakes to life size Iron Men! The staff really do value the children’s efforts in this

and we always celebrate every child’s contribution with a gallery at the end of term.

Thank you

Many of you completed the N-CAT National Survey of Child Anxiety and

Treatment Access for the University of Reading. The university has

written to school to offer their thanks for all your valuable contributions.

They have also donated £72 to the school to show their appreciation.

Thank you to all parents who completed the homework survey. We are in

the process of analysing your views and will respond in due course.

Valentine Fundraising Fun On Friday 10th February : The Friends

Committee will be raising money for the school through supporting a

cake sale and copper coin collection. Please do bring in Valentine themed

cakes/biscuits to sell and any spare copper coins to help fill a giant love

heart that will be drawn on the playground. Also, for a £1 contribution,

your child may wear RED clothes for the day!

Also, the Friends are planning a fundraiser involving unwanted

Christmas gifts. If you have any unwanted items that could be used for

Easter Hampers, please bring them into the front office. Items will

then be made into Easter Hampers and raffled next term.

All monies raised by the Friends over the rest of this year will be used

to purchase new laptops for the children to use in class.
