Look at 'ee' sound. Recap it. Explain that sometimes it can also be spelt 'I'  as in the tricky word and when it is on its own, or 'ea' when in some words so we are going to practice using this alternative spelling in our reading and writing today.

Encourage your child to read these words by saying each sound and blending it together. It may be beneficial to chop these in half like before. 

Can they tell you the meaning? Can they use it accurately in a sentence? Are they real or made up? Some are Alien words!

Can you say each word to your child to segment and write in a list? Do they know the meaning? Go through each one once they have written it and segment it together and model writing it.  Again, at first it may be useful to chop the word up into syllables to help.

Paul eats peas with his 

meal. Say the sentence, use phoneme fingers (some children will be able to show you this)  and then let them write it with independence. 

Once completed go through it with them and look at any  mistakes and correct these.
