Revelation 1:9-20

9 I, John, your brother and partner in the tribulation and the kingdom and the pa-tient endurance that are in Jesus, was on the island called Patmos on account of the word of God and the testimony of Jesus. 10 I was in the Spirit on the Lord's day, and I heard behind me a loud voice like a trumpet 11 saying, “Write what you see in a book and send it to the seven churches, to Ephesus and to Smyrna and to Pergamum and to Thyatira and to Sar-dis and to Philadelphia and to Laodicea.” 12 Then I turned to see the voice that was speaking to me, and on turning I saw seven golden lampstands, 13 and in the midst of the lampstands one like a son of man, clothed with a long robe and with a golden sash around his chest. 14 The hairs of his head were white, like white wool, like snow. His eyes were like a flame of fire, 15 his feet were like burnished bronze, refined in a furnace, and his voice was like the roar of many waters. 16 In his right hand he held seven stars, from his mouth came a sharp two-edged sword, and his face was like the sun shin-ing in full strength. 17 When I saw him, I fell at his feet as though dead. But he laid his right hand on me, saying, “Fear not, I am the first and the last, 18 and the living one. I died, and behold I am alive forevermore, and I have the keys of Death and Hades. 19 Write therefore the things that you have seen, those that are and those that are to take place after this. 20 As for the mystery of the seven stars that you saw in my right hand, and the seven golden lampstands, the seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven lampstands are the seven churches.

Update from TPW: 2020 Sew ‘n Sews Sales Income

In 2020, fund raising markets were cancelled throughout our community due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In keeping with safety guidelines put in place by our Session, Sew 'n Sews sales moved to the Narthex supported by on-line You Tube sales videos. Imad and Stacy Mills contributed generously by providing the videography, and we thank them. The total income from Sales for 2020 was $1,894.74. Of this amount $1,699.74 was from the Derby, Hal-loween, Fall (Home Decor), and Christmas Sales. These sales were supported entirely by our congregation, their families, and friends. Although sales in-come did not match previous sale totals in economically better years, the ef-forts by the loving people of Trinity Presbyterian Church allowed us to make our contributions as usual to our eight supported non-profit agencies. By using funds from 2019 (a very successful fund raising year), TPW sent Benevolenc-es of $400.00 each to: Dare to Care, Family Community Clinic, Home of the Innocents, Life House Maternity Home, St John Center, Supplies Overseas, The Healing Place, and Wayside Christian Mission We cannot thank enough our faithful Trinity Family for supporting us with kind words, thank-you notes, and compliments regarding the purchased items during a challenging and sometimes stressful year for your members of Sew 'n Sews. God bless us all!!

Mission Committee News …. Eastern Area Community Ministries (EACM)

With Valentine’s Day rapidly approaching, the Mission Committee is encouraging the Church to financially support EACM as a way to Love Your Neighbor! Thus far, throughout the pandemic, EACM has paid over $650,000 to help over 400 of our neigh-bors with utility and rent supplements. Right now, the needs of our neighbors are so great and EACM’s biggest fundraiser typically held in March has been cancelled. Please consider making donations of cash, check or gift cards from Kroger, WalMart, Meijer or Target. You may donate from February 14 until March 14 by dropping your donation into the wooden box placed in the Narthex. (The donation barrel has been temporarily removed as there is no in person shopping at EACM right now.) And by the way, an interesting fact about the beautiful wooden box we are using for dona-tions …. it was made by Max Oyler’s Dad! Jesus tells us in Matthew 22:37-39 that the greatest commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. Please support this important ministry! You may call Lois Bringhurst at 502-819-8936 with any questions.

Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes In an earlier sermon, Pastor Steve suggested that if we were looking for a resolution for the new year, “Grow in Jesus and Go in Jesus” would be appropriate as this sums up the mission for all Christians. So, resolved to “Go in Jesus”, the Mission Committee has set a goal of 400 boxes for the 2021 Shoebox Season! To meet this goal, we are asking you to consider making shoebox gift donations throughout the year so our supplies will be ready to go when packing season rolls around. Please review the year-round calendar shopping guide included in the Trinity Times newsletter for the suggested donation for each month. For February, the items requested are fashion accessories. This would include items such as sunglasses, hair bows, hair ties, watches, and jewelry. Happy Shopping! You may drop off your donations anytime into the bin provided in the Narthex. If you would like assistance with online shopping, please contact Susan Dawson at 870-838-5662. Be sure to also read the Trinity Times for a breakdown of the number of shoeboxes packed in 2020, including the most important number of all …. that 1.1 million children made decisions for Christ!!! Praise God! Thank you for suppor ting this ministry! love. grow. serve.
