The brainchild of James beard Award-winning chef Patrick Connolly, Rider is a contemporary American bistro that serves sophisticated cuisine in the heart of Williamsburg, Brooklyn. From skate wing schnitzel to squash agnolotti to a hot fried chicken sandwich, Rider serves food that is simple and iconically American yet textured, dynamic and globally-inspired.

Each of Rider’s dishes takes its place on the menu as a complete thought -- elegant yet unfussy, familiar yet seductively inventive. Chef Connolly takes his queues from what’s in season, and his technique is influenced by French and Italian culinary traditions with a bit of Asian flair, resulting in a multi-cultural and uniquely American menu.

Rider is committed to providing guests with a unique and deeply satisfying culinary experience. Since it opened its doors on March 25, 2016, the restaurant has become a neighborhood favorite for locals and visitors, a culinary destination for food lovers and cocktail connoisseurs. After just six months, Rider was recognized by Michelin as a Bib Gourmand in their 2017 guide for offering exceptional cooking at a good value.
