• It is a process that begins in the classroom.

BEFORE THE CLASS …-Prepare for the class.

-Get all the necessary requirements ready.

-Read whatever is to be read before the class.

WHILE IN CLASS …-Stay focus on the teacher while he/she is explaining.

-Take down all your notes.- Ask questions wherever you have not understood. Do not be shy or feel ashamed!

AFTER THE CLASS …

-Attempt all assignments. Get help if necessary.

-Revise your notes preferably on the same day.

REVISING YOUR NOTESORGANISATION

-Get a suitable, quiet, well-lit place to study.-Choose a favorable time when noise and distractions are minimal.If you choose to get up during the night, avoid eating oily food before going to bed!

-Tidy up your environment (put everything in order, get your books, pencil, rough paper, etc ready).

TIME MANAGEMENT• Analyse the task and the time available.• Break down the task into little bits to be covered within specific time frames.• Allow short breaks between tasks to minimise stress and avoid overload (you can eat, discuss,play music, walk...)

METHOD -Always have a pen or pencil beside you to note important points.

-Write down questions that MUST be answered after you have read(Objectives).

-Read with those questions in mind.

METHOD (continued) -Revise with past questions. -Self evaluate yourself regularly to see if you are meeting up with your objectives.

-Study with friends (Groups) -Get enough rest (6-7 hours)
