The winner of the annual celebrity Goat Milking contest receives a monetary amount to be designated to a charity of their choice.

Contestants have a whole lot of fun trying their skills of goat milking while being cheered by the audience

that includes fans, co-workers, family, friends and the curious. “Celebrities” of all walks of life

make a very interesting blend of participants.

Showmanship events, held at the Livestock Barn/Arena and adjacent tents, is an important part of the fair’s agricultural events.

It’s serious and delicious competition to find the best scratch fruit pie at each year’s event.

Friday niGHT is Parade niGHT!The annual Wayne County Fair Parade is one of the largest every year in the area.

Special honor is given to the fire companies in the county plus supporting good neighbors in Ontario and Monroe Counties.

Favorite marching bands, members of 4-H, animals, floats and various special performances are also showcased.

The parade starts in the heart of Palmyra on Main Street then proceeds to the fairgrounds. Cash prizes are given to the best performers. For information contact Dave McGuire at 315-538-8114.
