Year 12 Student Cooper Moreta and Work Experience
Cooper participated in the work experience Air Force Familiarisation course conducted at RAAF Amberley
in Queensland. This placement had an incredibly high amount of applicants and Cooper should be
justifiably proud of being accepted.
I asked Cooper a number of questions about his air force work experience:
1. What did you learn?
Work experience really opened my eyes about what I really want to do after I leave school. I learnt there
are more jobs in the air force than just simply flying planes.
2. What was your daily routine?
8:00 am-Arrived at the base and we had a
morning briefing.
8:30-3:30- Involved in the following activities:
Visited the FA 18 Hornet
Visited the C17 Globe Master
Dog squad activity
Missile technician
Bomb squad
Visited the KC 30
Thank you for your time Cooper.
Mark O’Brien
Relieving Careers Adviser
Congratulations Vivien Partridge on your
successful application for work experience
at Taronga Zoo in the Wildlife Hospital
Division. We will be keen to hear about
your experience in February.
3. How did you find out about this work
experience opportunity?
I read my school emails and I follow the Wauchope
High School Careers Facebook Page. Mr O’Brien
posts a lot of career information and it is a matter of
keeping up to date and acting upon the information
communicated.
