Organic sludges and calcification The Oxy Range was developed to increase aerobic conditions in soil profiles and water bodies by stimulating natural breakdowns of excessive organic material. This increased process of breakdown creates conditions that are favourable for plant/turf growth and clears water courses from pollution and effluent. The OxyRange has a two-fold mode of action: 1. Inoculation of soil and water with positive, balanced aerobic bacteria and micro-

digestive organisms which performs their natural aerobic digestive processes. Some of the bacteria release enzymes that catalyse production of oxygen through the breakdown of various organic compounds that contain oxygen.

2. Release of high concentrations of dissolved oxygen within the irrigation water used to apply the product, thus increasing aerobic activity within the soil profile or water body.

Biological treatment for watercourses

100% organic, 100% effective treatments for algae affected and polluted water OxyCure is 100% organic, derived from plant extracts that release dissolved oxygen in the water/effluent to promote aerobic conditions. Anaerobic bacteria and pathogens, such as E-Coli and faecal coliforms, cannot survive in aerobic conditions. Sludge Buster is a compost type product that sinks through the water and forms a mat on the bed of the lake/pond, providing an active environment for positive digestive organisms and enzymes. OxyCure and Sludge Buster are two products that are used together to clean up polluted, anaerobic bodies of water. They will reduce and control bad odours and clear murky water. They should be applied where a high chemical oxygen demand (COD) has been recorded and in addition where there is a high total suspended solids (TSS) count. OxyCure and Sludge Buster can also be used to treat algae blooms, including blue-green algae (cyanobacteria). Algae blooms photosynthesise during the day adding oxygen to the water, but they consume this oxygen during the night and with very large blooms, oxygen levels can be extremely low early morning, leading to the suffocation of fish and other creatures. Some species of algae produce toxins that can kill wildlife, livestock and pets. In humans the following can cause: skin rashes after contact, eye irritation, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever and muscle and joint pain.

Conditions for application: OxyCure should be applied to resolve any of the following: • Algae blooms • Bad odours • High COD and TSS counts • E-Coli, faecal coliforms • All organic effluent treatment • Murky water

Application Procedure: NB. Wear required protective clothing as per any chemical application. Irritant – wear gloves and safety glasses. Sludge Buster Application:

a. Spread Sludge Buster evenly over area b. In larger water bodies it might require using buckets with water to spread SB or

even utilizing a boat c. Sludge Buster will settle to the substrate in 2 – 5 minutes d. Repeat application every 3 to 6 months depending on conditions

OxyCure Application:

a. Take photos of water condition from various angles b. Take a water sample for analysis c. Check pH in water d. Apply Sludge Buster and allow to settle e. Dilute 25L OxyCure to 50L water (only required to spread over fast area) f. Spray apply OxyCure with “Nap-Sack” or spray rig (spread over area) g. Monitor outcome and repeat after 30 days if require.

Maintenance/Preventative: (Constant Flow)

a. Calculate daily water consumption b. Confirm application dosage as per conditions c. Apply product via controlled drip dosing system d. Apply Sludge Buster in bag at inflow e. Monitor system condition over 30 days and adjust dosage if required

Biological treatment for irrigation systems

Dissolves organic and inorganic blockages in pipes, sprinklers and pump systems OxyFlow is a 100% organic product, formulated from various plant extracts to break down sludge accumulated in irrigation and pipe systems. OxyFlow releases dissolved oxygen that together with enzymes and positive digestive organisms, break down the structure of the sludge and organic material so it disintegrates and can be released from the system. No control measures are required when releasing sludge into a watercourse or irrigating it out as OxyCure reduces anaerobic bacteria that have a negative impact on plant or water life.

Benefits of OxyFlow:

• Cleans pipes systems, drippers, filters and sprinklers • Removes any organic sludge build-up from system • Systematically breaks down calcification • No control measures required for discharge of product

Symptoms of sludge build-up in system: Less flow, low pressure at outlets, sprinkler radius reduced, continuous blocking of sprinklers. Dosage: Shock treatment: - 1% of system volume Maintenance/Preventative:

High – 25L to 10 000m3

Medium – 25L to 15 000m3

Application Procedure: NB. Wear required protective clothing as per any chemical application. Irritant – wear gloves and safety glasses. Shock Treatment:

a. Ensure all water is drained from system b. Calculate system volume and dilute required product in injection source. c. Open a valve or remove a sprinkler at the farthest point in system d. Inject solution into system until it flows out at farthest open point e. Confirm required volume was injected (leftover solution might be due to sludge

accumulated in system) f. Unlock at least one sprinkler in a line/system. This is just a precaution in case of

pressure build up. Only low pressure recorded to date g. Close all open valves (injection point and open valve/removed sprinkler) h. Let it stand for 24 hours i. Open release valves and start pumps or irrigate out (depending on sprinkler

make) j. If irrigated, sludge will disappear in turf grass

Maintenance/Preventative

a. Calculate daily water consumption b. Confirm application dosage as per conditions c. Apply product via controlled fertigation system or install drip dosing system d. Inject product at inflow to filters if possible as OxyFlow will clean filters e. Monitor system condition over 30 days and adjust dosage if required
