Water Traces – A new project by Instituto-e It is February 2013, time to kick off the new Instituto-e project, WATER TRACES, with an expedition to several Osklen suppliers. After the Carbon Footprint and Social and Environmental Project, this new project will calculate the water footprint. The Italian Minister for the Environment, Land and Sea of Italy (IMELS) Corrado Clini will be in Brazil to discuss WATER TRACES with staff at Instituto-e. Instituto-E and IMELS have signed an agreement to renew their partnership. The project will be launched with a series of visits to Osklen suppliers who provide the raw materials for classics like the organic cotton T-shirt, jeans, the Arpoador tennis shoes and a straw bag. Working with the suppliers, a technical team composed of professionals from IMELS, Instituto-e and SENAI-CETIQT will calculate the Water Footprint of each of these products.
