Existing developments have three major types of discharge:– None– Gravity– Pump

Today SFWMD prefers gravity and will generally only allow a pump system with a single entity as system operator such as a governmental body

SOLUTIONS

Do nothing Alter design criteria for new projects Provide incentives for upgrades to existing properties

Fix only items that are created by needs of City and not rest of watershed

The City’s DRGR, as many have stated, is small relative to the Lee County portion and it is at the downstream end
