Consistent and reliable water quality is a key requirement for successful hemodialysis treatment. TEMAK have channelled their 45 years of experience, through research and innovations to develop the TMED series.

The TMED series are stand-alone portable plants or central water treatment plants for multiple hemodialysis ma-chines certified with CE medical combined with ISO – TUV certificate. Having installed over 150 plants worldwide, you can trust us to provide you with the most appropriate solution for you.

TMED1 SERIES

Stand-alone mobile Water treatment system producing water to ECOr AAMI standards for hemodialysis machines. The key treatment step utilizes reverse osmosis technology which is designed to operate at a low recovery thus eliminating the need for a step of pre-treatment with softeners as well as multimedia filters. It is this design feature which makes it highly compact and mobile. This stand-alone mobile unit has all the necessary pre-treatment and post-treatment equipment on board.

TMED2 SERIES

Central Water treatment system based on two RO in series, producing water according to EC or AAMI standards covering the demand of multi-ple hemodialysis machines connected to the distribution loop. The systems are customizable to provide the water either directly “online” to the distribution loop or alternatively via an “intermediate tank”.

TMED2HOT SERIES

Meeting the standards of the future, TMED2HOT series are water treatment plants where the RO membranes as well as the distribu-tion loop are sanitized with hot water entirely eliminating theuse of chemicals.

• Eliminates the possibility of harmful disinfectant chemicals reaching the hemodialysis beds in the case of insufficient flushing after the disinfec-tion of the loop

• Eliminates the need to purchase, transport, store disinfectant chemicals• All RO skid piping is made of Hygienic SS316L having special roughness

against microbial growth• All connections where possible are made with hygienic tri-clamp con-

nections• Hot water tank for the heating of the water with special Hygienic INOX• Advanced control via the Programmable logic controller with HMINote: The TMED2HOT series capacities are as per the table for TMED2series.

Intermediate tankThe output water from the RO which is according to AAMI/EC is stored in an intermediate tank before being distributed to the loop. This means a booster pump but also additional disinfection equipment (Microbial fil-ters/ UV) is necessary since the tank is considered a source of potential microbial growth. The intermediate tank is compulsory if both RO units in series are required to guarantee the output water meets the EC/AAMI standards.

This is dependent on the feed water quality.

OnlineIf the outlet water quality can be met by one of the two RO plants operat-ing in series, then the water can be sent directly to the distribution loop “online” without the need of an intermediate tank sAnd additional equipment.

Special features TMED2 & TMED2HOT SERIES• Pre-treatment components are in duty/standby configuration

ensuring the continuous supply of water to the RO units even if one component fails

• Each of the two installed softeners is sized to provide softened water to the RO unit for the duration of the daily shifts in the case that one softener goes offline

• Two RO system are offered in series providing excellent water quality

• The RO systems have automatic bypass fault tolerance such that if one RO system trips, the 2nd RO unit can provide the nec-essary quantity and quality of water
