WASHING MACHINESClothes washers consume large amounts of water and energy. High efficiency models save on your water and energy bills.• $500 Freebate for High Efficiency Clothes Washers with

Water Factor of 5.0 or less.

DISHWASHERSA new high efficiency dishwasher cuts water use from 10–15 gallons down to 3–6 gallons per load.• $125 Freebate for High Efficiency Residential Dishwasher.

HOT WATER SYSTEMSInstant-Access Hot Water Systems guarantee hot water on demand throughout the home.• $100 Freebate for on-demand pump or point of source

RAINWATER HARVESTING SYSTEMSHarvesting rainwater for irrigation and replacing grass lawns with low water use plants or permeable surfaces is an excellent way to save water and money. Some restrictions apply. Not all rebates are available in all Monterey County areas served by California American Water.

• $25–$50 Freebate for each 100 gallons of rainwater storage, up to maximum storage capacity of 25,000 gallons

CASH FROM REBATES = FREEBATES

per qualifying property. Sites must have sufficient roof area to fill cistern and may require an inspection.

• $1.00 Freebate per square foot for lawn replacement to a maximum of 2,500 square feet per qualifying property. Pre-qualification and deed restrictions are required.

IRRIGATIONIrrigation systems using new technology adjust watering systems to match local climate changes.• $25 Freebate per soil moisture sensor on an automatic

irrigation system.• $100 Freebate for Smart Controller, including up to four

stations plus $10 per additional station up to 20 stations, when at least 1,500 sq. ft. of irrigated landscaping – special conditions apply, call for information.

• $4.00 Freebate per Rotating Sprinkler Nozzle – minimum purchase and installation of 10.

• $100 Freebate for Graywater Irrigation System supplied by one clothes washer. A site inspection is required by Building Inspector and/or MPWMD.

• $100 Freebate per bathroom with a bathtub/shower connected to a Graywater Irrigation System – residential limit is 4. A site inspection is required by Building Inspector and/or MPWMD.

*Rebates are available for purchase of qualifying devices for customers of California American Water and other systems regulated by MPWMD when funding is available. At no time shall the rebate amount exceed the cost of the qualifying device. Copies of receipts are required and must be submitted with an application within 120 days of purchase. Rebates are issued by MPWMD on a first-come, first-served basis as long as funds remain available. Rebate checks take approximately 90 days for approval and delivery to customers.
