Look at the back of the customer’s watch and compare it to the pictures below. If it does not match any of these types, or IF IT IS A SPECIALIZED OR WATER RESISTANT WATCH, REFER IT TO A PROFESSIONAL WATCHMAKER.

K Place watch in the case holding viseClamp the watch in the case holding vise byopening the two halves of the block, placing thewatch in the middle and gently release or tightenthe two halves so that they hold the watch firmly.

If the watch band does not unbuckle or unclasp,separate the band by pressing down with a pointed tool to removethe spring loaded pin that connects the band to the clasp or watch.

Most case backs are snapped on andcan be removed by inserting a bladeinto the appropriate notch of the caseor case back and twisting the handleof the tool to pop off the back.

When no groove is provided, be surea sharp knife is inserted into thenarrow slot between the back andthe case. Once the knife is firnly inthe groove, a slight twist of the knifehandle will pop off the back.

Twist the tool tosnap off back.

Tool needed:Case knife

IMPORTANT: Beforeremoving battery(s),be sure to note whichside is up. You willhave to put the newEnergizer® battery inexactly the same way.In some watches, thebattery is held in bysmall metal clips. If so, carefully followthe directions to theright for removing thevarious types of clips.Use plastic tweezersto remove battery(s).

SPRING CLIP:Lift up one end of the metalclip with the fine-pointtweezers. It will come out.Then remove the battery.

SCREW-ON CLIP:Remove the screws with the small screwdriver. BECAREFUL NOT TO LOSE THEM!CAUTION: CLIP MAY SPRINGOUT. MAINTAIN PRESSURE ORSCREW MAY BE EJECTED.

Tools needed: Fine-PointTweezers, SmallScrewdriver, PlasticTweezers

PERMANENT CLIP:Lift the outside edge of the batteryout of its compartment with thesmall screwdriver.

See the battery tester for operating instructions. IMPORTANT: If the watch hastwo batteries and only one tests “replace”, replace both batteries. If bothbatteries test “good”, there is something wrong with the watch. Refer it to aprofessional watchmaker.

Read the number on the old battery and replace with the same or correspondingEnergizer® Watch Battery. Refer to the current Energizer® Watch/Electronic BatteryReplacement Guide or the Energizer® battery size checker to find the correctEnergizer® battery type number.

Check the battery compartment for dirt and remove it. If you find corrosion, refer watch to aprofessional watchmaker.

IMPORTANT: Be sure to testthe new battery beforeinstalling. For tester setting,fo l low manufacturer ’sinstructions. Use plastictweezers to install the newEnergizer® battery(s) with thesame side up as the one(s)you replaced. Remember,the watch won’t work if thebattery(s) are put in wrong.

IMPORTANT: If there is a rubber sealing gasket in the back of the watch,make sure it is lined up properly before closing back. Snap a metaladapter that is slightly smaller than the watch back into the upper jawof the press. Place the support plate into the bottom of the press and fita plastic ring adapter large enough to hold the watch on the supportplate. Place the watch face down into the plastic ring adapter and pressgently on handle until watch back snaps into place.

Reset the watch and make sure it is working. Inanalog watches, if there is no second hand,observe the minute hand through a magnifyingglass until you see movement.

SPRING CLIP:Place one end of spring clip in place and firmly pushthe other end into its slot.Make sure spring clip is in theslot to avoid bent spring clips.

SCREW-ON CLIP: Place the clip over the new Energizer® battery. Holdthe screw with the fine point tweezers to start it in thehole. Tighten the screw.

Tool needed: Plastic Tweezers

Place watch in the case holding viseClamp the watch in the case holding vise byopening the two halves of the block, place thewatch in the middle and gently release or tightenthe two halves so that they hold the watch firmly.

If the watch band does not unbuckle or unclasp, separate the band bypressing down with a pointed tool to remove the spring loaded pin thatconnects the band to the clasp or watch.

Unscrew the hatch counter-clockwise byturning a coin in the slot. Once the hatch isloosened, finish unscrewing and remove withfingers. BE CAREFUL NOT TO LET THE BATTERYFALL OUT YET.

IMPORTANT: Before removing battery(s), be sure to note whichside is up. You will have to put the new Energizer® battery inexactly the same way. To remove the battery, simply turn thewatch over and it should fall out. If the battery is stuck, gentlypry it out. Use plastic tweezers to remove battery(s).

See the battery tester for operating instructions. IMPORTANT: If the watch has two batteries and only one tests “replace”,replace both batteries. If both batteries test “good”, there is somethingwrong with the watch. Refer it to a professional watchmaker.
