In 2015, some of the finest musicians from around the world will join your West Australian Symphony Orchestra for a year of concerts that includes classical masterpieces alongside movie music, jazz, and children’s and family concerts.

The choir stalls are the seats behind the Perth Concert Hall stage and allow you to clearly see the conductor and Orchestra from a new angle. Choir Stall tickets are an affordable way to experience your Orchestra, and are available for $30* or less for most concerts. If the WASO Chorus is occupying the choir stalls or large screens are used during a concert, we unfortunately cannot offer these seats for sale.

Substantial discounts on regular ticket prices are available for anyone aged 30 years or under. Under 30s prices vary by concert, but start from as low as $18* for Choir Stall seats and $20* for D Reserve (restricted viewing) seats for selected classical concerts. THE RUSTY ORCHESTRA

Amateur musicians aged 25+ from all over Western Australia sit side-by-side with WASO musicians. Rehearsals will take place in the afternoon and early evening, culminating in a free performance for the general public.

WHAT TO WEARThe Orchestra often dresses in formal attire but members of the audience wear anything from formal suits to jeans. We want you, our audience, to feel comfortable when attending a concert.

LATE ARRIVALSWe make every effort to start each performance at the advertised time. Unfortunately, we are unable to seat latecomers until the first interval or a suitable break in the program.

FREE CONCERT PROGRAMS Free printed programs are available at most concerts, or download them from our website.

PRE-CONCERT TALKSFree Pre-Concert Talks take place in the Terrace Level foyer of the Perth Concert Hall at 6.45pm before each Masters and Classics concert. For Morning Symphony concerts the talks take place at 9.40am inside the Perth Concert Hall auditorium.

CONCERT ETIQUETTE• We encourage you to show your

appreciation as you wish, but at most classical concerts audience members refrain from clapping between movements of a piece. If you are unsure, simply follow your fellow audience members.

• While coughing is unavoidable, there are ways to minimise the disturbance of the musicians, conductor and your fellow audience members. Cough lozenges are available free of charge from the WASO Customer Service Desk at the Perth Concert Hall before each performance and during the interval.

• Taking photographs or recordings of any kind is not permitted and breaches performers’ copyright.

• Mobile phones and alarm watches must be switched off during a performance. Concerts are recorded for broadcast on ABC Radio and these noise disturbances are picked up.

• All West Australian Symphony Orchestra venues are smoke-free.
