1. Runthebonefolderoverthecreaseofthecardtoensurethefoldiscleanandthatthecardwilllieflatwhenfolded.
2. Inarandomorder,cutortearstripsofwashitapethenlayerrowsindifferentdesignsacrossthefrontofthecard.Youcanrepeatthepatternasyouworkupthecard,orkeepitrandom.
3. Ilikethetornedgewashitapelook,butthiswillbecoveredbythesnowflakeembellishmentsonthefrontofthecard.Toretainsometornedges,youcanwrapsmallsectionsofwashitapewithtornedgesaroundthefoldtothebackofthecard,oryoucancutthewashitapeinastraightedgeatthefoldusingscissorsoracraftknife.

3. Addagluedotbetweenthewashihalvesthenadherethemtogetheroff-center,sothatyoucanseeboththetopandbottomlayer.Grabasecondgluedotandadherethewashitapetotheedgeofthecircle.

1. Workingwithonepieceofwhiteprinterpaperatatime,startbyaddinglongstripsofredwashitapedesignstoyourfirstpiece.Leavewhitespacesbetweeneachstripoftapeyouapply,andcompletelyfillonesideofyourpaperwithrowsofdifferentredtapedesigns.
2. Flipthesamepieceofpaperover.Tapingthewashitapeinthesamedirection,addavarietyofgreenwashitapedesignsinstripsacrossthepaper,againleavingwhitespacesbetweeneachstripyouapply.
3. Nowcutrowsofthetapedpaperintheoppositedirectiontotherowsoftapeyouappliedwithregularscissors,orwithpinkingshearsifyou’dliketocreatecreateacuteedge,asshown.

1. Beginbycoveringtheframeinsertwithneatrowsofclearwhitelacewashitape,oranyfestivewashitapeofyourchoice.Themostimportantthingwiththisstepistomakesureyoulineupthetapepieceswell,sothepatternsmatchasbestastheycan.Thensecurethewashitapeframeinsertintotheframe.
2. Usingthescoringboard,createevenlyspacedscorelines1cm( ⁄ in)apartalongthefrontofthegreencardstock.Onceyouhaveallthelinesscored,foldthecardstockinanaccordionstyle(backandforth)(A)thenpressthefoldsfirmlydowntocreateclean,neatfoldlines(B).

4. Youcaneithermakeyourownstar,oruseasmallstarornamentinstead,asshown(B).Tomakethestar,tapeafewshortrowsofyellowtapeontothewhitecardstockthenuseastarcraftpunchtopunchitout.
5. Usethescoringboardtogivethestarathree-dimensionalappearance.Todothis,justflipitoverandscorelinesonthebackfromthetipsofthestartowardsthecenterthenfoldalongeachscoreline.
6. Addthestartothetopofthetreewithadabofhotglue.Justadabwilldoya!7. Forthetreetrunk,justuseyourlowtemperaturehotglueguntoattachthe

1. Gathertogetherallyoursupplies.Thenjustbyeyeballingit,trytofindawashitapethatwillbeagoodsizematchforthelittlespoolsyouhavechosen.
2. Wrapa7.5cm(3in)lengthofwashitapearoundyourfirstspool.Dependingonthestickinessofthewashitapeyouareusing,youmightneedtoaddalittlegluedotattheendtoensurethetapestaysadheredtothespool.
3. Nowuseyourlowtemperaturehotglueguntoaddalittlegluetotheendofabottlebrushtreetheninsertthetreeintothetopholeofthespool.Youcanaddmoregluearoundthetoprimofthespooltokeepthetreecentered.
4. Addadabofgluetothetopofthebottlebrushtreethenattachalittleloopedandknottedpieceofbaker’stwinetohangyourtreefrom.

1. Lineupyourwashitapesinrainboworderandbegintapingacoupleofrowsofeachcolortothewhitecardstock.Ifyou’reusingacirclepaperpunch,makesurethatthepatternsyouusewillfillthecircleoncepunchedout.Also,dependingonthewidthofthewashitapesyouuse,youmightneedtolineupmorethantworowsofthesamepatterntopunchouteachcircle.
2. Punchoutallyourcirclesthenusethemtocreatethewashitapelollipop.Startingwithonecoloroftherainbow,addalittlegluedottoonesideofthecirclethenstickitontothenextcolorcircleinline.Continueaddingadhesivetothebottomofeachcircleasyouworkyourwayaroundtomakeyourpaperlollipop.You’llfindthatwhilethegluedotsareasecureadhesive,theyalsohavealittlegive,makingitpossibletomovethecirclesaroundasneeded.

3. Finishoffyourbigwashitapelollipopbyaddingasturdypieceofchipboardtothebackofit,securingthisinplacewithafewmoregluedots.Nowforthefunpart:fillaclearplastictubewitharainbowassortmentofgumballsthenjusttapethelollipoptothetop.
Thismakesforasweetandcolorfultreatthatanyonewouldlove,bothkidsandadultsalike.

Startbyusingtherulertocutthreedifferentlengthsofwashitapeforthebow:large(40.5cm/16in),medium(20cm/8in)andsmall(2.5cm/1in).Thelongstripwillcreatethemainpieceofthebowloopinginonitself,themediumpiecewillformthebackofthebowwiththeendsnotchedout,andtheshortpiecewillbewrappedaroundbothholdingthemtogether.
2. Foldthelongpieceofwashitapeinhalfandtapeittoitself,creatinga20cm(8in)pieceofwashitapewithnostickysidesexposed.
3. Repeatstep2withthemediumlengthpiece,sothatyouendupwitha10cm(4in)pieceofwashitape,withnostickysidesexposed.
4. Takethelongerofthesetwopiecesandfolditinhalfagain.Withfine-tipscissors,notchouttheedgeofeachsidetocreateamorenarrowsectionatboththefoldedendandtheotherendofthepiece(A).
5. Repeatstep4usingthemediumlengthpiece,onlythistimeuseyourscissorstonotchoutanupsidedownVshapeontheends,asthesewillbethedecorativeendsofthebow.
6. Openoutandplaceaheavy-dutygluedotinthecenterofthefoldofthelongpiece(B).Nowtakebothnarrowendsandadherethemtothegluedotthenpressfirmlytosecuretheends,thuscreatingthetwoloopsofthebowonyourlongestpiece(C).
7. Openoutthemediumlengthpiecethenuseasecondgluedottoadherethelargeloopedpiecetothecenterofthemediumone.
8. Foldyoursmalleststripinonitselflengthwaystocreateanarrowerpiecethenuseathirdgluedottotightlyadhereitaroundthebow.
9. Withafinalheavy-dutygluedot,adherethewashitapebowtothecenterofyourclothespin(peg).
