Woods, water and wildlife – not a dream, but a reality. You need only travel to thesouthern tip of Douglas County, bordering on Washburn County, to experience
what others may only dream of.
With miles of well-groomed recreational trails with recreational parkingareas, over 100 pristine lakes to fish, swim and boat, and thousands ofacres of forest land where visitors may hunt and hike, it is no wonderthat people head “up north” to relax! This is UP NORTH at its best.
Wascott is a community of volunteers where clubs, organizations and individual citizens work together to get the job done. One such effort is the annual Wascott Area Children’s Christmas Party held at the Town Hall on the afternoon of December24th. Everyone is welcome to come and join in the excitement which brings out the “child” in all of us.
Not here during the winter? Then plan to attend the annual Food and Fun event held at the Wascott Ball Park from 2:00 to6:00 pm on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. Meet our friendly residents and other visitors for an afternoon of food, drink, prizes, games and camaraderie. You may come as a stranger, but you will leave as a friend.
During your stay, stop at any of our area businesses. Members of the Wascott Tourism and Development Association willoffer you the finest that there is in food, beverages and lodging. You will be planning your next visit before leaving!
