We completed the upgrades on time and in budget. SMW Group have also supplied 10-20 crew for scheduled shutdowns and maintenance on the site since our upgrade work. GOONYELLA HAZOP CREW AND STRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE BHP Value: > $1m Overview: SMW Group runs a 5-man Hazop crew from Monday to Friday, conducting safety inspections and safety critical repairs on walkways, handrails, ladders, gates, restricted access platforms and more. We also have a Monday-Friday structural inspector to schedule in repairs, supported by our fabrication workshops. CHPP SHUTDOWNS AND SCHEDULED OUTAGES BHP Value: > $1m Overview: SMW supplies shutdown labour for major shceduled outages across BHP’s Bowen Basin sites, with crews ranging from 10 to 70 personnel. Site-inducted personnel, ready now As a trusted contractor already on site, SMW Group’s team is able to easily transition in to wash plant work. We have personnel with site inductions and the necessary tickets and competencies, ready to mobilise. Our field teams are backed up by our corporate head office and fabrication workshops in Rockhampton and Mackay, along with an experienced team of designers, engineers, product support and management. Chutes and Access Platforms• Designing safe access platforms with specific

reference to the infrastructure

• Design, fabrication and installation of small access stairs

• Design and repair of large platforms, catwalks and multi-storey structures

• Grizzlys and chutes of all shapes and sizes

Guard Railing and Conveyors• SMW Group designed guard railing for an

existing conveyor system

• Large scale 3D scan acquired point cloud data to assis in the design of new guard railing

• The existing conveyor frame was modelled exclusively with the use of the point cloud information.

Enabling repairs with accurate and detailed damage and wear records, as well as custom-manufactured solutions for existing plant and equipment.

SMW Group now has 3D Scanning capability, with our FARO Focus 3D X330 scanner. This gives us a detailed point cloud and working models of any component or environment, which our engineering teams use to complete accurate, reliable and long-lasting repair work.
