Warsaw - the capital and largest Polish city, located in the central-eastern part of the country of the Central Lowland, Mazovia, on the Vistula River. There are the Houses of Parliament, the President, Prime Minister and other central authorities. Warsaw is the capital of the Mazowieckie voivodship.
Warsaw is the largest Polish city in terms of population (1 708 491 inhabitants in March 2011) and surface area (517.24 km ², including the Vistula).
