n Community members and leaders come to speak to students once or twice a week to mentor them on subjects such as how to prepare for careers, the importance of their education, and matters they face in every day life.

n Every year students devote hours of work to help set up and prepare the MLK breakfast and march.
n We set up the chairs and tables for the early morning breakfast.
