The film in the end got semi-decent reviews, with most critics agreeing that it was a bit different.

One thing I would say about the film is that it has a very good brand identity, which it had started to construct even from the first poster released pre-production. Zombie Rom-Com, something only previously achieved to a suitable standard by Edgar Wright’s ‘Shaun of the Dead’ (2004.)So to be put in the same bracket as this legendary zombie comedy is quite something.
