worlds most environmentally friendly art institution, being a living and breathing example of an organisation that is not only wholly operationally
sustainable but through further acting as a leader of societal change by sharing this vision and values with the local, regional and international community by
continued creative education initiatives.

So, what is Wanås ’ impact?
What is le ft?Many cars/trucks/tractors on the Wanås grounds
Large farm mower currently depends on fossil fuels
Various art materials, such as metals & plastics
Toxic paint is used (VOC’s, various toxins, formaldehyde)
Recycling program is insufficient and difficult to access
Poor building insulation
Shop currently sells potentially unsustainable items & packaging.
A need for more transportation & accomodation.
