Format: Learning objective will be met through 5 (10 min) talks in pecha kucha format, along with a panelist discussion.
Goal: The goal of this symposium is to provide best practices of residency and medical student education in emergency
medicine. The primary discussion will be using two residency programs (one in Brooklyn, NY and one in Philadelphia, PA) as
cases studies for successful training programs at academic institutions.
Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this seminar, learners will be able to
1. Identify best practices in curriculum design of an emergency medicine residency-training program, including didactics, rotations, and board review.
2. Describe the key role of remediation and develop individualized remediation plans to meet the learners needs. 3.
