DAY 1 WED 7 OCTSYDNEY TO KIAMAMeet Sandra Ross at Eddy Avenue Central. Buckle up and settle back for a relaxing journey down the south coast. Bulli Tops for lunch overlooking the panoramic views of the Illawarra stretch of coastline. Next up, Wollongong Botanic Gardens. Kiama’s The Sebel Harbourside for the next four nights. Welcome dinner in the hotel.

DAY 2 THU 8 OCTKIAMA Berry has all the hallmarks of an historic country town – only better with classy cafes, restaurants and sophisticated shopping; it’s the perfect blend of village charm and city style. The Berry Garden Festival starts today with eight gardens opening their gates. We can chat with garden owners and have time for shopping.

DAY 3 FRI 9 OCTBUNDANON Arthur Boyd was inspired by the Shoalhaven landscape. Visit Bundanon, the property that he gifted to the Australian people. Visit his studio, untouched since he left it. Enjoy morning tea and lunch and a tour of the homestead, studio and gardens. Arrive back in Kiama with a stop at the iconic blowhole.

DAY 4 SAT 10 OCTKANGAROO VALLEYLocals boast of the invigorative and recuperative powers of this beautiful valley. Rich green pastures, sparkling creeks and rivers and lush rainforest are all guarded by the magnificent escarpments which enclose it. We’ll visit two ‘valley’ gardens and chat with their owners. Leisurely lunch in the heart of the village.

DAY 5 SUN 11 OCTKIAMA - BATEMANS BAY More sea spray today as we travel south. Coffee stop at Gerroa and the Mt Pleasant lookout with views over Seven Mile Beach. Lunch today at Cupitt’s Winery tucked behind Milton with lake and range views. A garden with a difference this afternoon overlooking the ocean at Bendalong then head straight to our hotel Corrigans Cove on the waterfront at Batemans Bay for three nights.

DAY 6 MON 12 OCTBATEMANS BAY Climb aboard our cruiser this morning for a gentle cruise on River Clyde, from Batemans Bay to Nelligen and back. We’ll discover the beautiful Eurobodalla coast today and learn about the diverse Bateman Marine Park. We’ll watch for Humpbacks,

DAY 7 TUE 13 OCTBATEMANS BAY Coffee stop this morning in the quaint town of Mogo, discover the privately owned Mogo Zoo respected for its conservation practices.Scenic drive along the coastline this afternoon with coffee stop at a private garden in the pretty seaside town of Moruya on the river.

DAY 8 WED 14 OCTBATEMANS BAY - BERMAGUIFollow the scenic coast road to Bermagui with a stop at the wildflower-filled Eurobodalla Botanic Garden. Lunch in Narooma is set against the vibrant aqua colours of the Wagonga Inlet. The beautiful garden at Foxglove Spires is much admired for its flowery cottage ambience. There’s a fine nursery too where we could be easily tempted to fill the bus’s luggage compartment! It’s a short hop to Bermagui, to check into Harbourview Motel, our home for the next three nights. Dinner included tonight at a local restaurant.

DAY 9 THU 15 OCTBERMAGUIWe’ll enjoy a visit and morning tea in the rural and rustic All Saints garden then visit the church designed by Edmund Blacket. Lunch and cheese tasting is included at the Bodalla Dairy. Heritage listed Cobargo in the heart of the Bega Valley is our next stop.Back to Bermagui with a stop at Tathra, famous for its historic steamer wharf that’s still standing proud.

DAY 10 FRI 16 OCTEDENDiscover the Sapphire Coast at Eden today, set in the magnificent Twofold Bay. Watch for dolphins, whales, seals and penguins. We’ll visit the Eden Killer Whale Museum and learn the extraordinary history of whaling, Ben Boyd and the settlement in Twofold Bay.Back to Bermagui with time to relax with a cocktail before our Farewell Dinner in a local restaurant.

DAY 11 SAT 17 OCTBERMAGUI - SYDNEY

Travel back today with a lunch stop via Goulburn to visit Nation Trust’s Riversdale. This historic home was built in 1840’s. Return to Central Station in Sydney late afternoon.
