All aspects of drainage covered from routine inspection and maintenance, blockage problems, to installation

of complete new drainage systems. Sites will always be pre-checked before any excavation by our radar-

scanning unit.

At W. & I. Craig, we can provide emergency works to building fabric or services. We provide a fast response, as

well as a damage and risk assessment. On top of this, we can provide temporary repairs, if required, and also

permanent reinstatement to your own specification. Area isolation is subject to investigation.

Ground Radar Survey

Ground radar survey allows for safer and faster excavation, as a result of a more in depth knowledge of service

position and ground voids. It detects all service voids e.g. fibre optic, gas, plastic, water, electrical cabling and

telecommunications. The survey also detects long term water main leaks and any debris in the ground. It

minimises the disruption to important services when the area is excavated and provides detailed locations of

services in the area, when coupled with Radio Detection techniques. The survey reduces requirement for trial

holes and all of our operatives are fully trained.

Industrial Rope Access

Working at heights has always been a dangerous and expensive process, and usually a scaffold is required.

Industrial Rope Access provides an alternative. Rope Access is quick to set up with no requirement for

expensive scaffold. The working area can be adjusted, and inaccessible areas over windows, light wells etc. can

all be reached with no damage. Traffic management and disruption around the working area is minimised, and

it has a strong safety record.

BS7985: 2002 - The code of practise for the use of industrial rope access is the working standard and all our

operatives are trained. Each job is assessed for risk, and a safe method is written.

Resurfacing

A selection of resurfacing projects, from asphalt to tarmacadam, to special impact absorbent childrens

safety playgrounds. Also shown are our thorough excavation & groundworks, carried out after first

Radar Scanning proposed site area (see Radar Scanning leaflet). Any thermoplastic lining necessary can

be carried out by us, once surfacing is finished.

Roofing

A selection of our very varied roofing services, from roofing repairs and routine maintenance, timber

replacement etc. to a full roof rebuild. All types of roofing can be worked on, asphalt flat roofs, felt, single

membrane repairs (eg. Protan) to flat roofs, slate and various types of tiled apex roofing, gutter cleaning &

replacing etc. Our staff are regularly trained in use of access equipment such as tower scaffolding (PASMA

training). Industrial rope access techniques, working at height, also (by arrangement) our operatives are

trained in the use of Access platforms (IPAF training).

Upgrade your security. Simple measures lead to a more secure and safe site. We can provide a variety of

services including overall site assessment, rising ramps and access/vehicle restriction barriers. We also provide

electronic security gates to restrict entry and exit, vehicle safety barriers, and burglar proof doors. In addition

to this, we can provide anti-ram raid bollards and fencing, custom made secure waste bin cages, security

panels to harden existing security at vulnerable entry points, anti-climb security fencing and thermoplastic

road marking to direct traffic.

Thermoplastic

We are able to provide a speedy, reliable service, as well as thermoplastic screeds, reflective and non-

reflective, to car park and internal road areas, directional signs and instructions. We can also provide road

marking removal by thermal lace and mechanical abrasion. Also available is the option of other pavement and

road finishes, for instance colour coating and anti-slip finishing.

Water Main Repair & Replacement

We have over 45 years experience, a rapid 24 hour water main repair service and a full stock of repair clamps

and more. We are able to investigate water leaks and can test for other services in the working area. We use

our own plant and equipment and can offer the option of reinstating hard surfaces to your specification.
