Yale Veracitor VX SeriesThis series of trucks is available in twoconfigurations to meet and exceedyour material handling applicationrequirements. The Veracitor Basetruck offers first-rate performance andis geared to minimise your cost ofacquisition without compromisingperformance. The Veracitor Valuetruck provides excellent performanceand is optimized for lowest hourly costof operation.
LPG EnginesYale Veracitor VX GM VortecTM V-6Engines feature a rigid cast iron blockand main bearing caps. Nodular ironcrankshaft is supported on four mainbearings. Camshaft is cast iron.Hydraulic valve lifters are utilized toeliminate the need for manualadjustment. The GM engines alsofeature an electronic throttle forprecise performance and control.
Fuel System:The standard GM LP engine usessequential port fuel injection. The LPengine uses a vaporizer/regulator toconvert the fuel from a liquid to a gasfor vapour injection. The EngineControl Unit electronically regulatesthe fuel, air, and spark advance toprovide the necessary torque. Theengine control unit’s inputs includemanifold air pressure, manifold airtemperature, engine coolanttemperature, accelerator pedalposition, throttle position, enginespeed, cam signal, and oxygen sensorsignal.
Diesel EnginesThe Yale Veracitor Cummins QSB3.3Ldiesel turbo charged engine meets EUTier IIIA diesel emission standards. Astandard power 60 kW engine isoffered for the Veracitor Base modeland a high power 74 kW truck for the
Advance Veracitor Value modelcoupled with the Techtronix 332 3-speed transmission, to suit the morearduous applications.
The QSB3.3L engine represents thelatest technology in off-highwayengines. The engine is turbocharged,with charge air intercooling and anelectronically controlled high pressurecommon rail fuel system.
Fuel System:The Cummins QSB3.3L dieselengine’s electronically controlled highpressure common rail fuel systemdramatically reduces engine noisewhile providing more responsivepower and better fuel efficiency atevery rpm. The fuel system is capableof delivering high injection pressuresof 800-1100 bar. The engine iscertified for different qualities of fuelsused in the EMEA regions withoutconversion:� Ultra-low sulphur, low sulphur
and high sulphur (up to 5000 rpm) diesel fuel.
� Biodiesel fuel up to 5% concentration (B5).
TransmissionsThere are two transmission selectionsavailable that will handle a wide varietyof material handling applications.
Standard ElectronicThe standard electronic powershifttransmission features two forward andtwo reverse speeds with electronicshift control, smooth hydraulic inching,neutral start switch, and anti-restartprotection. A single pedal controlsboth inching and braking. Optionaldual inch/brake pedals are availablefor operators who prefer this design. A 100 mesh suction and a 10 micronreturn line filtration protect thetransmission from abrasivecontaminants.
The New Techronix 300 seriesTechtronix 332 includes all thefeatures of the standard electronicpowershift transmission. In addition,Auto Deceleration is accomplishedthrough the controlled application ofthe clutch packs. Controlled powerreversals (below 11.3 kph) aremanaged by precisely regulatingengine speed to reduce drivelinestress during directional changes.Inching is controlled electronically. TheTechtronix 332 transmission featuresthree speeds forward and two speedsin reverse for excellent gradeability

and drawbar pull while allowing toptravel speeds for maximumproductivity.
Cooling SystemThe cooling System employs a 43cm(diameter) blade pusher-type fan madeof steel. A permanently lubricatedwater pump and a high capacity,cross-flow radiator ensure rapid heatdissipation. The sealed cooling systemoperates at a pressure of 1.03 bar andincludes a coolant recovery tank forvisual inspection of coolant level. Thestandard combi-cooler radiatorfeatures an externally mountedtransmission oil cooler for increasedheat transfer capability. Both theradiator and oil cooler are built withsquare-wave construction to reduceclogging from debris and are soft-mounted for excellent durability.
Drive AxleThe drive axles are designed towithstand heavy loads and absorbshocks. The wheel hubs rotate onlarge tapered roller bearings. The driveshaft transmits rotational torque to thedrive axle from the engine andtransmission. Transmission torque isdistributed through planetary gearreduction and an industrial hypoid ringgear and pinion differential assembly.
The drive axle is a “self contained”assembly that is isolated from thetransmission by the drive shaft andheavy-duty rubber isolators. The axleshafts utilise a “rolled fillet” root splinedesign for increased resistance totorsion stress. A magnetic sump plugis used to collect any metal particlesthat are circulating in the axle oil,preventing component wear.
BrakesOil immersed brakes are standard andinternal to the axle for betterprotection against the elements. Theselow pedal effort brakes require noadjustments and very littlemaintenance, yet provide an extremelylong service life.
The hydraulically boosted single circuitmaster cylinder has a sealed fluidreservoir and features a fluid levelsensor which activates an indicatorlight located on the instrument panel.Independent, hand adjustable parkingbrake with push-button release has anaudible alarm to indicate when theoperator has left the truck withoutapplying the parking brake.

SteeringHydraulic Power Steering (hydrostaticsteering) provides responsive controland eliminates mechanical linkages forreduced surface shock and simplifiedmaintenance. The steering wheel is30cm in diameter with a texturedsurface grip and spinner knob, andrequires only four turns lock-to-lock.The center mounted steer cylinder islocated within the confines of the steeraxle for protection.
Steer Axle is constructed of cast steeland is mounted on phenolic bushings,allowing excellent stability and axlearticulation. The steer axle systemfeatures tapered spindle bearings andnon-adjustable tie rod end fordurability.
ChassisChassis designed by state-of-the-artfinite element methods features inch-thick frame members and contains arugged, unitised frame structure with alow step for simple entrance to theoperator’s compartment.Ergonomically designed overheadguard is bar type for excellent visibilityand reduced noise.
Operator’s CompartmentThe operator’s compartment featurescowl mounted hydraulic control leverspositioned on the right side of thesteering column. Optional Accutouchminilever, electro-hydraulic controls areintegrated into the operator’s right-sidearmrest allowing superior ergonomicactuation. Automotive-style pedalarrangement with a large, singleinch/brake pedal is standard. Rubberfloor mat reduces noise and vibration.The floorplate can be removed withouttools for excellent service access. Lowstep height and a convenient hand gripprovide easy entry and exit to and fromthe truck.
Intellix Vehicle System ManagerIntellix VSM acts as a master truckcontroller, providing extensivemonitoring and control of truckfunctions and systems. CANbustechnology reduces wiring complexityand enables comprehensivecommunications between trucksystems. The ergonomically positioneddash display transmits continual
feedback to the operator and allows forcommunication of service codes.Comprehensive on-board diagnosticsenable quick and easy troubleshooting.The electrical system features sealedconnectors and Hall Effect sensors forsuperior dependability.
Hydraulic SystemThe hydraulic system incorporates agear type pump with a cast iron bodyfor quiet efficiency. The system isprotected from overloads by a mainrelief valve for the lift circuit and asecondary relief valve for tilt andauxiliary functions. Oil is double filteredthrough a 100 mesh suction linestrainer and 10 micron return line filter.The hydraulic tank is integrated intothe frame. For Accutouch minilever,electro-hydraulic controls, anemergency lowering valve is providedto allow the load to be lowered in theevent of power loss. O-ring face sealfittings are used in all high pressurehydraulic connections.
MastsYale Hi-VisTM 2 stage LFL (V) and 3stage FFL (E) masts afford operatorsoutstanding visibility. Nested channeldesign incorporates angled load rollersfor durability. Rolled mast channelsand formed cross-members providehigh strength. All masts have internalhose routings for protection andimproved visibility.
Leaf-type chain provides superiorstrength. 1980mm hook-type carriagesare standard equipment, providinggreat visibility and handles a widevariety of forks and attachments. Pin-type carriages are also available.
