Introducing the Transporter BlueMotion

What is BlueMotion Technology?At Volkswagen, we’re constantly working to make our vans

and passenger carriers as efficient as possible. Our latest

innovation is a range of BlueMotion Technology add-ons that

help reduce fuel consumption and carbon emissions. They’re

available on all the vehicles within the Transporter range Available to order now, the Transporter BlueMotion is the peak of Volkswagen’s BlueMotion Technology

range. Every aspect of its design and specification has been optimised to ensure best-in-class economy*

of 44.8mpg (combined) – 7.1mpg better than a standard Transporter – and the lowest possible emissions

During braking, energy is wasted. Energy recuperation uses some of that momentum to turn the alternator and charge the battery. If the battery is well charged, the engine has to do less work turning the alternator to keep it topped up. This saves fuel and reduces emissions.

Start/stop allows you to conserve fuel at traffi c lights. When you stop, put your van in neutral, release the clutch and the engine automatically switches off , saving fuel and reducing emissions. When you’re ready to go, depress the clutch and the engine restarts.

By keeping your van at a constant speed, cruise control saves fuel that would normally be wasted when your speed fl uctuates. It’s especially useful for driving over long stretches, as it stops your speed creeping up unintentionally, and reduces driver stress.

Same great load spaceThe Transporter BlueMotion is as practical as ever: it’s a short-wheelbase van that’s great for city driving, but it can still carry 871kg and load lengths up to 2.57m.

Plenty of add-on optionsThe Transporter BlueMotion has an extensive range of add-on options from the Transporter range, letting you customise your van. Due to the ultra-effi cient BlueMotion design, a few options are limited, but your Van Centre can help you pick the best solution for you.

In a standard Transporter, you can drive from Land’s End to Dundee, via Edinburgh, on just under a full tank – that’s 630 miles, with 33 miles’ fuel to spare

Our most economical Transporter BlueMotion Technology model has a combined range of 711 miles, getting you even further – all the way to Aberdeen

The Transporter BlueMotion’s combined range of 788 miles gets you to the outskirts of Inverness. That’s over 15 hours of driving between fi ll-ups

All vehicles that carry the BlueMotion Technology badge include our key energy-saving solutions – start/stop, low-rolling-resistance tyres, energy recuperation and cruise control – as standard. Together, they create

instant fuel savings and lower CO2 emissions, with improved fuel economy up to 41.5mpg (combined). This can save you money – and time – at the pumps. You can also add any additional factory options you want.

A van with the BlueMotion badge is a true hero of the range. In addition to using all the BlueMotion Technologies, its design and specifi cation has been optimised to reduce weight and improve aerodynamics.
