Program OverviewThe VPN Revenue Credit for Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) Sales Program will recognize a solution providers’ VMware platform purchases irrespective of product brand. Participating solution provider partners are eligible to count qualifying OEM-branded VMware purchases (from participating OEMs) toward their VMware partner level status under the terms of the program as set forth below.

Program members will earn revenue booking credit toward VPN partner level status for OEM products purchased from an OEM distributor or directly from the OEM. OEM revenue credit earned will be approximately equal to revenue credit earned for the VMware branded SKU equivalent.

The VPN Revenue Credit for OEM Sales Program can help participating partners who purchase through multiple channels progress within the VMware Partner Network program. For a list of participating OEM partners, please refer to the current VPN Revenue Credit for OEM Sales Frequently Asked Questions document available on the VMware Partner Central website.

Procedure to Complete the EnrollmentStep 1: Login to Partner Central.

Step 2: The “VMW+OEM VPN Partner Credit Opt-In Agreement” will be available in Partner Central under the “Program Forms” tab. Click on the “Program Forms” tab, then click on the “VMW+OEM VPN Partner Credit Opt-In Agreement” hyperlink.

Step 3: Partner Central checks automatically to see if you have provided the required OEM partner details. If you have not, the system will prompt you to provide them.

Note: Providing OEM partner details is key to the program, as they ensure we can validate and credit your OEM sales in our VPN program.

Step 4: Select “OEM Partner Name” from the drop-down menu and provide the “OEM Partner ID.”

Note: The HP partner ID has been populated in the diagrams above for easy reference.

Step 5: You will be asked to complete the OEM Opt-in Process. To do this, click on the “sign” hyperlink.

Step 6: Once you click “sign,” you will be directed to “Generate Agreement.”

Step 7: Once you click “Generate Agreement” you will receive an email from the VMware Partner Network asking you to sign the agreement digitally.

Step 8: Please check your email inbox; you should see an email from the VMware Partner Network with the subject “Please sign the VMware Partner Network Revenue Credit for OEM Sales Opt-in.”

Note: The agreement will be sent from VMware Partner Network via echosign@echosign.com. EchoSign is a tool VMware is utilizing to capture the digitally signed document.

In the email, you will find the agreement (on the left-hand side), a link to the FAQ (on the right-hand side), and a link to sign the agreement digitally (on the right-hand side, highlighted in yellow).

Click on the following link (highlighted in yellow) “Click here to review and sign VMware Partner Network Revenue Credit for OEM Sales Opt-In.”

Step 9: An agreement window will pop up for your signature.

Scroll down and click on the “Signature” box.

Once you click on “Click to sign,” a small box will open. You will need to input your full name here and then click the “Apply” button.

You then need to provide your title and company in the appropriate entry fields. Once you have updated all the information you’ll see a small message box saying, “To finish signing this document, just click the button below.”

Click the “Click to sign” button.

As soon as you click the “Click to sign” button, you will receive the following message:

You will also receive an email with the signed document.

Note: OEM sales will be recognized by VMware approximately two months after the sale has taken place. This is due to the monthly reporting received by the OEM Partners and the processing of this data. Partners will receive credit starting in the month in which they sign the opt-in agreement and upon an OEM participating in the program.
