VOTING SYSTEM CERTIFICATIONS

System Requirements

System must comply with federal standards

System must record results by VTD

System must use a paper ballot

Vendor Requirements

Vendor must post bond (determined by SBOE)

Vendor must place source code in escrow

Vendor must quote a statewide uniform price.

Vendor must provide access to source code in the event of software failure or vendor insolubility

As part of the certification requirements, the State Board of

Elections shall address the mandatory terms of the contract for the

purchase of the voting system and the maintenance and training related

to that voting system.
