SCHEDULED ELECTIONSThere are three municipal elections scheduled on November 5, 2019. Voters in the cities of Altamonte Springs, Lake Mary, and Oviedo will choose their leaders. Check the listings on pages 17 and 18 of this guide or at VoteSeminole.org for specific offices and office holders up for election this year.

VOTER IDENTIFICATIONEvery voter in Seminole County is provided with a Voter Information Card, which has helpful information about methods of voting, a personalized listing of your districts and the address to your Election Day polling location.
In order to vote at the polls or an early voting center, voters should use one of the state-approved forms of photo/signature ID, which include: • Florida Driver License• Florida ID Card • U.S. Passport (or passport card) • U.S. Military ID • Student ID • Florida Conceal Carry Permit Card• U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs
Health Benefit Card Voters may also use a credit/debit card, government-issued public assistance card, government employee ID, retirement center or neighborhood association card.
FLORIDA HAS CLOSED PRIMARIESPer Florida law, in partisan elections, members of each political party can field a candidate for the general election to represent their party. To select a political party’s nominee, voters need to have been a member of that political party for at least 29 days before the primary election.
In the general election, voters of any political affiliation, including those with no party, may vote for any candidate on their ballot, regardless of the candidate’s party.
SAMPLE BALLOTAs each Election Day approaches, you may view a personalized sample ballot on the VoteSeminole.org website. Each voter is also mailed a sample ballot about two weeks before each election. The sample ballot is a useful tool for researching candidates before you cast your vote. If you would like more information about the candidates, please visit VoteSeminole.org.

NO MATTER THE METHOD, SEMINOLE COUNTY VOTES ON PAPER BALLOTS Whether you choose to have the ballot mailed to you, or if you visit one of our early voting centers or the polls on Election Day, you’ll receive a paper ballot. For voters with disabilities, we have ADA-compliant voting stations with audio ballots, as well as an electronic large-text voting option.
6 7SEMINOLE COUNTY SUPERVISOR OF ELECTIONS
1 | ELECTION DAYCLASSIC VOTING AT THE POLLSMany voters love the feel and timing of casting their ballot on Election Day. From 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. your neighborhood-based polling location will be open to your community. The address of the polling location is on your voter information card. Tear out the card for future reference.
2 | EARLY VOTINGTHE MOST POPULAR METHODFor several years, Seminole County has had more early voting centers per square mile than any other county in the southeastern United States. We will send you a sample ballot in the month before the election with a listing and map to your closest early voting center.
3 | VOTE BY MAILNEVER A LINE TO VOTE AT HOMEWhile lines in Seminole County are historically the region’s shortest, many voters avoid any lines by having a ballot sent to them by mail.
One way to increase voter turnout and enthusiasm among your friends
is to use social media. Help keep Seminole County the region’s
highest voter turnout county by telling everyone on your social
media feeds how easy it is to register, learn about candidates,
and vote in Seminole County. Use the hashtag #VoteSeminole
and tag @VoteSeminole to help spread the word and
increase turnout.
While you’re at one of our early voting centers or at the polls on Election
Day, don’t forget to snap a selfie at #VoteSeminole’s Selfie Station.
GET INVOLVEDBECOME AN ELECTION WORKERJoin more than 700 of your friends, neighbors and
