2014 Tee It Up Recap
On September 29th, BCM hosted the 2014 Tee It Up golf tournament at the
exclusive Peachtree Golf Club. This year we had several players fly in from out-
of-state to join us on the green. Despite the overcast and rainy weather, we still
had one of our most successful tournaments to date, raising $135,000! Our thanks
goes out to all the sponsors, players and volunteers who made it possible. This
year’s winners include:

Emergency
Assistance Reminders
As we enter the busiest time of year
for BCM, we have a critical need for
volunteers so please make every effort
to work your scheduled shift. If you
are unable to volunteer during your
regular shift, please contact Tiffany
Banks at (678) 399-8411 or via email at
Food Pantry Volunteers: When
stocking incoming food donations
remember to check the expiration dates
and make sure all donations are
recorded on the purple form attached to
the clip board.
It’s that time again—The Helpline is
now accepting appointments for Joyous
Toys! Starting October 1st, we will
have both financial assistance and
Joyous Toys appointments in the
office. Please see a Services staff
member for a list of client eligibility
requirements.
We are excited to share that BCM has
a new phone system! When using the
new phones in the intake rooms, you
must first dial “8” for an outside line.
In addition to the new phones, we also
made changes to our Helpline. Clients
are now being directed to press “2” to
speak to a representative when the
Helpline is open.
Please don’t leave client files in the
intake room unattended.
Please do not disclose any personal/
confidential information to anyone that
comes to the office inquiring about a
client. (i.e. Landlords)
Welcome, Julie!
BCM is pleased to welcome Julie Levy as our new
Development Assistant! Having served as an intake
volunteer for almost two years, Julie has a strong
understanding of our mission and a passion for the
clients we serve.
When asked why she
is excited to be
working at BCM,
Julie says, “I feel
very fortunate to have
now become a
member of the staff at
BCM. Volunteering
was always a very
fulfilling experience,
and now I get to be a
part of the mission of BCM on a daily basis.”
Julie is stationed at the front desk on the
administrative side of the building. Be sure to
welcome her the next time you are in the office!
Welcome, Hannah!
BCM is excited to announce
Hannah Park as our newest
Emergency Assistance
Intern from Georgia State
University. Hannah is a
Senior majoring in Social
Work with a minor in
Psychology and will be with
us through the Fall/Spring
semesters on Tuesday,
Thursday and Friday.
Hannah says, “I am excited to be a part of such a
great community and to be able to service with
compassion.”
Please help us welcome Hannah as you see her in
the office!

BCM’s Joyous Toys store ensures that over 750 children
will have gifts to open on Christmas morning.
Donate New, Unwrapped Toys!
The Joyous Toys store is stocked with new, unwrapped toys
that are donated by people like you! Hosting a toy drive is
a great way to get your office, Sunday School class, small
group or community/social club involved.
Contact Tiffany to request a toy drive toolkit complete with
a shopping guide, planning check list, and a list of the most
requested toys for each age group!
Can’t host a drive, but want to donate?
Request a “Most Wanted” toy list to guide your shopping
for the most requested toys to donate.
Volunteer at the Joyous Toys Store!
Volunteers are needed to staff the Joyous Toys Store from
December 8-12. Shifts are available each day from 9am-
12pm and 11:30am-2:30pm. Anyone ages 19 and older can
volunteer for the below volunteer positions:

Personal Shopper
Gift Wrapper

To sign-up as a volunteer or receive more information,
Contact Tiffany Banks at [email protected]

are from 10am-1pm and 1pm-4pm.
If you are interested in volunteering or would like more
information, please contact Tiffany at
[email protected] or 678-399-8411.
