Volunteer Title: Nature Center Mural Painter(s) Contact: Maggie, Marketing & Communications Specialist: maggiem@campfiremn.org Organization Overview: Camp Fire Minnesota is an inclusive youth development organization, serving a highly diverse population of youth in Minnesota through out-of-school time club and outdoor programs at our camps, Tanadoona in Chanhassen. and Bluewater near Grand Rapids, MN. For more than 100 years Camp Fire Minnesota has worked to provide quality programming to young people. With nature as our catalyst, we energize youth to discover their spark so their futures glow brighter. We kindle an environment where all feel welcome, igniting a to learn, lead and live . Camp Fire Minnesota is currently raising funds to improve and expand programming at Tanadoona through a multi-phase capital campaign. We believe it’s both a privilege and a responsibility to create a safe space for all youth to discover their unique spark so that their future will glow brighter. At Camp Fire, we kindle an environment where all youth feel welcome, igniting a condence to learn, lead and live. Volunteer Overview As part of a grant to renovate our Nature Center, we are painting a mural that will serve as both a visually appealing installation and educational tool (see pg. 2 for mock-up). Duties will include: -Helping project and trace the mural - Filling in large blocks of color - Outlining shapes and images - Hand-lettering Volunteers/ volunteer groups will have ideally had experience with either painting, mural painting, or hand-lettering OR be very detail-oriented and have a steady hand. Interest in art/design is also great! We’d love to hear your thoughts on the mural design and incorporate any feedback. Volunteers should be able to work in blocks of 2+ hours.
