Christmas Celebrations In our regular meeting on December 23, 2016 we celebrated Christmas. President Rtn. Amarjit Singh wished Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to all present including large number of our lovely children and grand children, our Rotarians and their spouses. He also welcomed the special children of Institute for Blind, Chandigarh and thanked them for their participation and for joining us to celebrate Christmas.

The proceedings of the meeting was handed over to R’ann Lovy Peter, Counselor of ‘Family of Rotary’, who wished Merry Christmas to everybody. She was well assisted by President’s daughter Harleen to conduct an entertaining programme.

Our Club organized Swachh Bharat Abhiyan on Christmas Day on 25th December 2016 at ISBT-43, Chandigarh. We were humbled with the gracious presence of PRIP Raja Saboo, who actively participated in the campaign. 7 Interactors accompanied by PRIP Raja Saboo, our club President Amarjit Singh, First Lady Sunita, DClbS PP Vinod Jawa, DYS Salil Chopra, Chair Swachh Bharat Committee Rtn. R.K. Jain went around the Bus Stand and inside the buses to convey the message of cleanliness through slogans and one-to-one talk with passengers, shopkeepers and ISBT staff, who appreciated the efforts of Rotary and assured their full co-operation and support in keeping the surroundings clean.

Planning meeting of District Conference held at Chandigarh

First planning meeting for District Conference ‘Sadbhawana’ to be held on 17-19 February 2017 at Karnal, was held on 25th December 2016 at Rotary House, Sector 18, Chandigarh. 34 Rotarians of our District attended this fruitful meeting in spite of cold wave and rainy weather.

Lunch was arranged at Hot Millions in Sector 17, Chandigarh, which was very kindly hosted by PDG Kawal Bedi.
