Ghoryan, Koh Zor, Rubat Sangi, and Zinda Jan districts are mostly affected by the flash floods. A report by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) released in March said that thou- sands of families have been af- fected by recent flash floods in the southern provinces of Kanda- har and Helmand provinces and that they require humanitarian assistance. The report says that 4,698 house- holds and more than 33,000 peo- ple have been identified as re- quiring humanitarian assistance as a result of flooding in Kanda- har province.
