VOLUME 25 NUMBER 5 May 2014 MEET YOUR NEW NEIGHBOR Ralph and Kathy Lewis live at 283 Dartmouth. They bought in Sweetwater in April of 2012 and settled into their new home in January of 2013. They are part time residents from Saratoga Springs, New York. Ralph retired in 2008 after 43 years as Director of Distribution Services for a supermarket chain. Kathy sold real estate but retired in 2007 as an office manager for an oil company. They have 3 daughters, 5 grandsons, and 1 granddaughter. The Lewis's discovered Sweetwater when they came to visit friends here who were renting (Dave and Carol Scaccia). They were shown around the community and were very impressed. At the time, they were living in another Florida community, but they liked Sweetwater much better and bought a home. Ralph and Kathy have found the Sweetwater Community very welcoming with a pleasant atmosphere. They enjoy the pool, bingo, golf, and many of the other activities Sweetwater has to offer. We know the Lewis's will continue to enjoy all that Sweetwater has to offer.

MEET YOUR NEW NEIGHBOR

Billy Powers lives at 188 Dartmouth.

He moved to Sweetwater in October

of 2012. He is from Jefferson, Ohio

which is about 12 miles from Lake

Erie. He is a part-time resident who

returns to Ohio for the summer

months.

Billy retired in 2008 from North East

Box Company, a corrugated box

business in Ashtabula, Ohio. He is a

widower with 5 children, 6

grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.

Billy found Sweetwater through long-

time friends from Ohio, Ned and

Evelyn Neenan. He and his wife had visited the Neenans in Sweetwater and liked what they

saw. Billy decided to move to warmer weather rather than continue to spend winters in Ohio,

and he chose Sweetwater as his new winter home.

Billy is impressed with how neat and clean-looking Sweetwater appears. He finds it to be well-

tended and the people are friendly.

His favorite activities are golf and the pool.

Please continue to make Billy welcome in our Sweetwater community.

MAY...HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY

I am very pleased to announce that Carolyn Amstutz hastransferred from Heartland Realty to the SweetwaterOffice. She is well known here at Sweetwater and if you

have any Real Estate needs, please contact her at 221-5901. I am coming across anissue that is coming up once a property is sold that I would like to share with you. That is, the RP stickers in the windows that were there when the home was firstbrought in must still be visible from the road and if you do not have your RPstickers, you need to bring your titles to the appraiser's office and apply for areplacement sticker. This is a "Real Property" sticker that shows an appraiserdriving by that you have been classified and taxed as Real Property and not amobile home. The Title Companies are requiring a picture of these stickers beforethey will issue title insurance. Many homes are missing this RP sticker for onereason or another and it is required by the County to have one. If you have anyquestions about this, please stop by the office. Lucille

MOTHER'S DAY

On this Mother's Day, May 9th , we thought that this would be appropriate:

A mother can be almost any size or any age, but she won't admit to anything over thirty. She has soft hands and smells good. A mother likes new dresses, music, a clean house, her children's kisses, an automatic washer and Daddy.

A mother does not like having her children sick, muddy feet, temper tantrums, loud noiseor bad report cards. She can read a thermometer (much to the amazement of Dad) and, like magic, she can kiss a hurt away. She can bake good cakes and pies but she likes tosee her children eat vegetables.

A mother can stuff a fat baby into a snowsuit in seconds and can kiss a little face andmake it smile. She is underpaid, has long hours and gets very little rest. She worries toomuch about her children. No matter how old they are, she likes to think of them as herlittle children.

A mother is the guardian of the family, the queen, the tender hand of love. She is the bestfriend anyone ever had. A mother is love!

Happy Mother's Day from all of us. God bless!
